This Monday, May 29, is Memorial Day in the US, a day we reserve to remember those that gave their lives in service to the US. We honor and respect those brave individuals.

Squibb House Wrap - A Mosaic Knitting design

This beautiful piece, designed by our own Kris Gregson, is knit with 2 skeins each of two colors of Feliz from Manos del Uruguay.

In addition to the beautiful color work, the middle of the back features short rows to help the wrap sit on your shoulders more easily.

It's a great way to start with color work as this is a mosaic knitting design, which means you're only working on one color per row! If you're unfamiliar with mosaic knitting, drop us a line, we'd be happy to introduce you to this fun technique!

We've put together some suggested color combinations or you can choose your own.

As you probably know, Manos is a Certified Fair Trade yarn from a Women's Cooperative in Uruguay. The women that produce the goods are who own the company! They've been changing lives for women since 1968.

Cuarenta Shawl

Designed for the shop's 40th Anniversary in 2018, this shawl uses one full skein of Fino and one Fino Mini-skein pack.

You can choose our custom 40th anniversary combination or choose your own from the wide range of Fino colors!

Emmy's Scarf

Emmy's Scarf, pictured here, is an easy knit using 3 skeins of Maxima from Manos del Uruguay!

It's knit with the yarn held double so it's nice and fast. It's knit with Maxima, which is a wonderfully soft, 100% Merino yarn that comes in a wide range of colors!

We're delighted to welcome you back into the shop every Sunday from 1 - 3 to share projects, meet fellow knitters and crocheters, and just enjoy some time in the shop.

It's not a class, but a friendly place to come and enjoy a craft we love.

This is free open time where we chat, share ideas and projects. Join us and meet knitters and crocheters from all across the country, or maybe down the street!

It's the stitching group you didn't know you wanted to join and of course it's free. All skills and interests welcome from all over!
