I know, it's been quite a while since my last email, but here's the latest.

First let me tell you thanks for all the support I've been getting lately. It's always great to see friends in the audience, it really warms my heart.

Then I want to tell you about a special evening I have planned at VISION, the first concert I've done in a while. September 7th I'll be playing a 50/50 blend of my songs and those of my hero Paul Simon. I always get excited to perform Paul's songs to an attentive crowd, and this night I'll be doing it with cabaret style seating! Yup, the first forty folks to buy tickets for this show will be seated at very nice tables and be allowed to bring their own food. Plus refreshments will also be available at Cafe V. I just attended Peter Bolland's cabaret seated show at VISION and found the setting very amenable. I think you'll love it.

August 25th I'll be performing covers and originals on the newly redesigned stage at The Pine Valley House's Silver Queen Saloon in lovely Pine Valley. This ain't your typical venue. They've just added a full-on concert stage with lighting and sound system and I get to indulge myself on it from 6 to 9 that night. Indulge yourself with a meal, the fresh mountain air, and a night of music under the stars.

And finally, I continue my 20th season playing before every Padres home game at Baja Rick's Cantina (formerly The Tin Fish Gaslamp). You don't need to be going to the game to come down and see me and take in some of the best people watching in town outdoors in this amazing urban setting. I start 2 and a half hours before the game so, if you get there when I start, there should still be parking available, or you can take the trolley to Baja Rick's front door by getting off at The Gaslamp Station.

Also out there on the horizon on September 30 is Neil-Fest, a Celebration of Neil Young's music to be held at VISION. It's a multi-act tribute to Mr. Young. Can't tell you more right now, but mark your calendar and plan to attend.
