If you weren’t able to attend the NAMA conference in Dallas the week of May 6, I have some of my own observations to share.
The trade show floor itself was packed with innovative vending technology. What we did observe was hot vending machines and technology that allowed for seamless purchasing via mobile payments.
An observation I found from my own session on micromarkets, was a comment about the challenges of operating unattended retail in a college and university setting (Hint: Stealing).
What I do believe was needed more of throughout the event was content on the importance of away-from-home drivers on a macro scale, as I received many questions to compare greater foodservice to convenience services.
