Today, we announce some exciting news as we enter the next chapter of our successful thirty year long history. The acquisition from Newport Corporation of MRSI Systems, a company established by the existing management team, is completed as of January 24, 2014. There have been no changes to the location, day-to-day operations or management of the MRSI business, as a result of this transaction. The existing, long-term MRSI management team and employees are committed to continuing to serve the needs of our customers, with renewed energy and focus on expanding the capabilities of our products and services.

MRSI was founded in 1984 with the goal of being a world leader in precision automation systems. Over the years, we have remained focused on providing our world-wide customers with the highest quality turn-key die bonding and dispense systems and related services. At the same time, Newport's business model moved away from fully integrated system-level solutions. This became the rationale for the subsequent divestiture. There will not be any changes in your contact points, and there will be no change in the support or service you have been accustomed to receiving from MRSI.
