First Reading — God’s people enter the promised land, observe the Passover, and eat of the produce of the land (Joshua 5:9a, 10-12) or 1 Samuel 16:1b, 6-7, 10-13a.
Psalm — Taste and see the goodness of the Lord
(Psalm 34) or Psalm 23.
Second Reading — We are now ambassadors for Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17-21) or Ephesians 5:8-14.
Gospel — We must rejoice when our brother who was dead in sin repents and comes back to life (Luke 15:1-3, 11-32) or John 9:1-41 [1, 6-9, 13-17, 34-38].

The parable of the father and his sons is one of the most familiar of all of Jesus’ stories. The father in the parable is lavish in forgiveness and revels in the return of his young son, who was lost and now is found. The older son is also lost—lost in his refusal to forgive, lost in his failure to grasp his father’s generous spirit. The Israelites spent many years lost in the desert, seeking the land of milk and honey, yet often failing to seek the God who delivered and fed them. We are sometimes lost as well. We lose sight of the Lord and the Lord’s ways. God never loses sight of us, however. God waits, ready for us to come to our senses, ready to welcome us back with open arms. |

As we continue to build and grow and become Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Parish, you may notice some changes...
1) Recently we merged our parish database into one comprehensive set of records. Despite diligent pre-planning and our best efforts, not all of the data transferred correctly. If you notice errors in offertory envelopes or other mail received from the parish, please bring these errors to our attention and we will work to swiftly update your information.
2) Speaking of offertory envelopes, we noticed that some in our database received the last set of envelopes twice. Moving forward, everyone in the parish should receive offertory envelopes from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament only. If you receive additional envelopes, please let us know and again, we will work swiftly to correct the situation.
3) And lastly, we know that Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament can be a lot to fit onto.a check payee line. Please feel free to abbreviate "OLBS" on paper checks made out to the parish. Thank you for your continued generosity!

Solemnity of the Annunciation |
Pope Francis will consecrate Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary on the day of the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord. This penitential liturgy will be livestreamed at 11am this Friday, March 25.
In union with Pope Francis and bishops and faithful around the world, Cardinal Cupich and priests of the archdiocese will celebrate Mass at Holy Name Cathedral and pray for the consecration of Russia and Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Mass will take place at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 25 at Holy Name Cathedral and will also be livestreamed via the Holy Name Cathedral YouTube page.
All are invited to pray together as the Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament family. We will broadcast both Pope Francis' Celebration of Penance and Consecration of Russia & Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and this special Mass from Holy Name Cathedral with Cardinal Cupich at St. Julian Eymard beginning at 11am on Friday, March 25. Church will remain open for personal prayer and reflection following the Mass.

During Lent, and especially Holy Week, we recall how God so loved the world that he sacrificed his only Son. We walk the "way of the cross" to remember how Jesus took on the sins of the world and opened the gates of Heaven for us. Every Friday during Lent our Ministry groups will take turns leading Stations of the Cross. This Friday, March 25th at 6pm at Queen of the Rosary, Bereavement and Journey of the Heart leads.

Though we've had glimpses of Spring, we're still providing Winter Suppers to PADS guests housed in local hotels and chicken pot pie is on the menu for March. Again, we thank you for your generosity in supporting our parish outreach to Catholic Charities and Summer and Winter Suppers.

The Holy Sacrifice of the Mass with the Eucharist is the most powerful means of healing intergenerational iniquity and transgression referred to in scripture.

Since 1959, Queen of the Rosary School has maintained a strong academic presence in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. Besides its competitive academic programs, Queen of the Rosary offers many extracurricular activities, such as ethnic fair, science fair, student council, orchestra & band, hand chime choir, Spanish classes, after-school enrichment and scouting. Sports are also available to students in grades four through eight: girls’ volleyball; boys’ volleyball; girls’ basketball; boys’ basketball; and girls' softball.

Totus Tuus is a week-long, summer youth retreat for people in first through 12th grade. Children will grow in their faith through skits, games, songs, the celebration of the sacraments and engaging, interactive teaching. This Sunday, March 20, CLW will be at the 10:30am Mass at QR.
And don't forget to look for the coat rack with the blue drawstring Activity Bags in the vestibule at each church. Children are invited to grab a bag to enjoy learning the Rosary, reading, coloring or working on faith-based puzzles/activities during Mass. Return bags to the coat rack before you leave!

Children's Liturgy of the Word |
We invite children at select Masses—after the opening prayer of the Mass—to join a Children’s Liturgy of the Word leader for a “child-based” lesson on the Scripture of the day. Children return to their parents just before the Liturgy of the Eucharist begins.
- CLW follows the RE calendar and runs from September to May.
- CLW sessions are approximately 15-minutes to discuss the readings of the day
- No registration necessary, children 4-years and older present at the Mass will be invited to CLW by the celebrant
- CLW takes place in the sacristy at QR or in a classroom at SJE
- CLW rotates at the 9:15am or 10:30am Masses, check the Parish calendar for specific dates
- CLW uses the Promise series from Pflaum Weekly

Thank you to all of our OLBS (including QR School) teens for helping to present the Living Stations of the Cross on Good Friday. We had a great first rehearsal this past weekend, and will continue rehearsing on Sundays from 3 to 4:30pm at St. Julian Eymard. The next rehearsal is this Sunday, March 27th from 3 to 4:30pm.

Care Ministers must be mandated and may participate in one or more of the following activities: visits to the Homebound, prayer services at AMITA, AMITA Rehab, Alexian Village or Promedica (formerly Manor Care.)
