LEMONADE DAY:
Kenai & Soldotna
Saturday, June 8th
Lemonade Day is a fun, entrepreneurial program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business - a lemonade stand.
| |
Mark your calendars; Progress Days is on its way! Progress Days is Soldotna's biggest celebration, dating back to 1957. This year, Soldotna Chamber will kick off the party on July 24th at our Levitt AMP Music Series in Soldotna Creek Park with celebrations happening throughout the week at the Soldotna Homestead Museum, Soldotna Regional Sports Complex, Twin City Raceway, Soldotna Rodeo Grounds, Hutchings Auto Spa, Kenai Wildlife Refuge, and more...
Please let us know if your organization is planning an event for the week of Progress Days!
On Saturday, July 27th, Soldotna Chamber will host the annual Progress Days Parade, which is a great opportunity for community exposure and networking. It's also free for Chamber Members who pre-register! This year's parade theme is "The Rhythm of the River."
This year, we are excited to host the Progress Days Block Party in Parker Park, just up from the Borough Building. Immediately following the parade, Park Ave in front of Parker Park will be full of free carnival activities, outdoor games, vendors, food trucks, the City’s free BBQ, and our fun contests (pie eating, diaper derby, cosplay, etc).
We are seeking volunteers to assist us with our free carnival activities. Please reach out if you're interested in helping for part of the day! Email: joe@soldotnachamber.com

The Soldotna Chamber is ready to celebrate THIRTY YEARS of hosting our annual Pie Auction fundraiser! The event will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 and this year we’re looking back with a “Time Machine” theme! The evening will include a live auction and a variety of raffles & games, raising funds for our community events & programs. Those include Frozen RiverFest, Soldotna Progress Days, the Levitt AMP Soldotna Music Series & many more. This annual fundraiser also finances the Chamber’s Scholarship Program in its entirety. Over the past 30 years, with the help of our generous membership, the Soldotna Chamber has awarded $372,800 in scholarships to students in the greater Soldotna area.
We are requesting donations from local businesses to include in the auction and raffles. Guests are always interested in bidding for vacations, behind-the-scenes experiences, and tickets to local events. Our guests also love to bid on restaurant gift cards, fishing trips, unique Alaskan items, hotel/lodge stays, as well as other items that are unique to our area.
We truly appreciate your consideration in regard to a contribution. Each donor will be acknowledged with the donated item on auction night, as well as in the Chamber’s weekly e-newsletter, on the Chamber’s social media pages and printed in local publications. Donations will also be printed in the auction’s program. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to give back and get recognition for it! Just flip this page over and fill out the form, or give us a call, we would love to hear from you!

TALK ABOUT YOUR MENTAL HEALTH
Staying engaged is great for mental well-being, especially when we are older. Nurturing your connections with loved ones, joining a social group, or volunteering for something you care about is helpful to feel active and connected. Embracing movement through walks, yoga, or dancing also benefits both body and mind. Challenging yourself with brain teasers, exploring a new hobby, or learning something new helps to keep the mind sharp. Remember, if you need mental health support, a doctor or therapist is also an option.
Visit www.samhsa.gov/resources-serving-older-adults for more tips and resources.
