Hello Soldotna,
It's hard to believe that August is already here and we are down to our last FOUR Levitt AMP Music Series concerts in the park! We'll see you out there- we've got some awesome bands lined up for you!
After the success of Progress Days, the Chamber team is moving our focus over to our 30TH ANNUAL Pie Auction Fundraiser. This is a great opportunity to give back to the community as this fundraiser funds our scholarship program in it's entirety as well as helps with with our community events throughout the year. Every October, the Pie Auction is a sell-out event that keeps people talking. It's always a great time!
Early Access tickets to the events will be available to our members later this month and tickets for everyone will be available soon after!
Cheers!

The Soldotna Chamber is ready to celebrate THIRTY YEARS of hosting our annual Pie Auction fundraiser! The event will be held on Saturday, October 19th, 2024 and this year we’re looking back with a “Time Machine” theme! The evening will include a live auction and a variety of raffles & games, raising funds for our community events & programs. Those include Frozen RiverFest, Soldotna Progress Days, the Levitt AMP Soldotna Music Series & many more. This annual fundraiser also finances the Chamber’s Scholarship Program in its entirety. Over the past 30 years, with the help of our generous membership, the Soldotna Chamber has awarded $372,800 in scholarships to students in the greater Soldotna area.
We are requesting donations from local businesses to include in the auction and raffles. Guests are always interested in bidding for vacations, behind-the-scenes experiences, and tickets to local events. Our guests also love to bid on restaurant gift cards, fishing trips, unique Alaskan items, hotel/lodge stays, as well as other items that are unique to our area.
We truly appreciate your consideration in regard to a contribution. Each donor will be acknowledged with the donated item on auction night, as well as in the Chamber’s weekly e-newsletter, on the Chamber’s social media pages and printed in local publications. Donations will also be printed in the auction’s program. This event is a wonderful opportunity for you to give back and get recognition for it! Just flip this page over and fill out the form, or give us a call, we would love to hear from you!

Seven Young Alaskans Recognized as Local Community Heroes
Alaska Communications and Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska
Announce 2024 Summer of Heroes Honorees
With a heart to serve others, young Alaskans are changing lives and making their communities better. From advocating for legislation in the U.S. Congress to supporting their peers, and raising awareness and funds for causes important to them, youth across the state are having a positive impact on Alaska.
Through the Summer of Heroes Program, Alaska Communications is proud to celebrate seven young people for their outstanding community service across Alaska. Five youth heroes at large and two youth heroes from the company’s employee program each will be awarded a $2,000 scholarship for their efforts. Additionally, as part of the program, the broadband provider will donate $15,000 to Boys & Girls Clubs of Southcentral Alaska to further support youth development in the state.
"Our youth are the changemakers of tomorrow, and it is our privilege to acknowledge their extraordinary contributions today,” said Matt McConnell, Alaska Communications president and CEO. “By recognizing and supporting these young heroes, we are investing in the future of Alaska. Their passion, determination and commitment to making a difference inspires us all. Congratulations to this year's recipients, and thank you for your exceptional service to our communities."
