The 39th Annual SOMI Art Fest returns to the heart of South Miami on February 24-25, 2024. This beloved tradition showcases the talents of over 120 artists from across the United States and Canada, featuring an array of paintings, photography, sculptures, jewelry, and more. The free, juried festival is family-friendly and brings local musicians, a variety of delicious food options, a beer garden, and a kid zone. Remember to join us for more music and dancing on Saturday night, from 6:00-9:00 p.m.!
The SOMI Art Fest is more than just an art show; it's a community effort led by the dedicated volunteers of the Rotary Club of South Miami and its South Miami Rotary Foundation, Inc. The festival not only provides a platform for artists and musicians but also supports significant causes. Proceeds go towards funding college scholarships for South Miami students and supporting a range of local, national, and international service projects through the South Miami Rotary Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 organization dedicated to making a difference.

South Miami Town Center” defines our singularly unique shopping and dining district on the east side of US1, with our civic area, Metro transit, hospital zone, library, and hotel on the west side of US1. The entire area is made up of the City of South Miami and on the east side of Red Road, the neighboring City of Coral Gables, and Miami-Dade County. “South Miami Town Center” was recommended by the Mayor’s Marketing Task Force in the mid-1990s. More recently, a popular reference for the area is “SoMi” (pronounced “So-Me”).
Visitors to our community will find convenient on-street parking, a Centralized Valet on Sunset Drive, and a centrally located Municipal Garage on 73rd Street. Public transit is directly accessible at the South Miami Metrorail Station.
