Only a few more days to take advantage of free downtown parking

Your time to take advantage of free downtown parking is running out. After a month of providing free parking in the SoMi parking garage, it comes to an end Sunday night.

The free parking is weekdays after 5:00pm and weekends all day and evening.

The free parking was approved by the SoMi Mayor and Commission. It was intended to give downtown businesses an additional tool to entice holiday shoppers inside their stores and restaurants.

You can improve the look outside your home by planting a tree in the right-of-way

If you would like to beautify your street, you can plant a tree in the right-of-way outside your home.

Trees provide many environmental, social, and economic benefits for you and our community. Many of these benefits are tangible and measurable.

Trees Improve Air Quality
Trees Save Energy
Trees Reduce Stormwater Runoff
