Black History Month

Black History Month was created to focus attention and honor the contributions of African Americans to the United States. We celebrate Black History Month and recognize the many contributions African Americans have made in arts, music, and literature in our community.

Tibetan Art

Feb 16-25, experience first hand the unique culture of the Tibetan people and the rich traditions of Tibet, including the creation of a beautiful Sand Mandala. The beautiful art is being created at the General Gomez Art Center, Auburn.

Meet Artist

Celeste Budd

Featured at this top of this issue, Celeste Budd creates glass art- beads, stained glass, mosaics, and more. Through her active contributions in Rocklin Fine Arts, Blue Line Arts, and Shepherd of the Sierra Gallery, she has grown in technique. Celeste's work has been award winning! Naturally her influence and commissions are growing. She also contributes to Placer County teaching art at senior centers and churches.

MA Series Arts

W wWith community grant funds, MA Series Arts will host a free workshop showing "Deep Listening the Story of Pauline Oliveros,"

culminating in a live performance of her sonic meditations including non-musicians of all abilities. The organization is dedicated to support, performance, research and practice by women, queer of color, and transGender artists.
