Jill is embarking on an amazing trip to Viet Nam with a group from the Quinte region. But no worries... we still have a ton of work to do at the cabin. Bren Foran is back with us, coordinating the Pop-Ups on the Bay. And she reminded us that it is "Random Acts of Kindness Week". Thanks for the amazing baking!

If you have someone in your life or know of a person in the community who resonates the spirit of the "Kindness Movement" in their daily life, please nominate them for the "Kindness Citizen of the Year"  Click HERE for to fill in an online ballot.

Did you know that, anecdotally, people struggle to name 5 employers in our region?  And they have a pretty hazy idea of the job opportunities at these places if they haven't worked there themselves.

We'd like to "expose" these opportunities and based on results from our members, and in partnership with the Centre For Workforce Development, we will hopefully begin to build a more complete perspective of what our current job market looks like.  Please help us by taking 5 minutes to fill out the "Hidden Job Market" survey.

Our free lunch on March 22nd will include a conversation about the results and issues you may be having recruiting employees in this very competitive labour market.

TAKE THE SURVEY - PLEASE - IT ONLY TAKES 5 MINUTES!

"The Hidden Job Market"

Lunch will be provided at no charge beginning at noon, followed by a presentation featuring the results from our "Hidden Job Market Survey". SPACE IS LIMITED! Register now to avoid disappointment.

SO What is the Hiddent Job Market Survey? This survey has been developed for the purpose of polling employers about the knowledge and skills required in their workplace. We often make presumptions about the type of work that happens in a given business or organization, and on that basis, overlook opportunities that might align with personal aspirations.

This 5 minute survey will hopefully shed some light on the depth and breadth of what employers (like you) need in our region.Your responses will be anonymous but there if you do complete the survey, you'll be prompted to a second link where we will ask you to let us know you've participated. This is a pilot of the survey so we'd like to follow-up for feedback and the next stage, where we share this with the community. The Centre for Workforce Development is assisting us with this project and we're looking at a completely different approach to "job fairs" aimed at parents and elementary students who might be more inspired to stay in Belleville once they've had a chance to explore the options they never knew existed.  TAKE THE SURVEY
