Top of the Grade Concert

Bob Sinclair and the Big Deals Perform at Top of the Grade Concert July 12

Bob Sinclair and the Big Deals will perform at the Top of the Grade Concert series at 7 pm Friday, July 12 on the Ella Grace Mintz Stage in McCreery Park. This free community event is made possible through a grant from the Polk County Community Foundation.

Bob Sinclair and The Big Deals make fun-loving, country-swing music at its best. Music that is fresh and vibrant - characterized by exceptional songwriting, tight harmonies, great arrangements and stellar instrumentation. The Big Deals feature the immensely talented Molly Barrett on fiddle/vocals; Tim Gallagher on mandolin; and Sinclair on guitar and vocals. The songs are delightfully crafted little vignettes wrapped around seriously powerful melodies and uncommon instrumental prowess – and the band wrings every possible drop of emotion out of each one.

Showcasing their original songs, the group merges Southern story-telling, chamber music sensibilities and jazz-influenced melodies to create an original musical sound – elegant, but feisty and unfiltered.

This band definitely distinguishes itself in the crowed acoustic music scene. The Big Deals have

demonstrated that they are equally comfortable on the big festival stages of MerleFest and PossumFest or the listening rooms and theaters of the US.

The Big Deals were recently featured on the Song of the Mountain broadcast for PBS; as a headliner for SERFA; and are a regular performer on The Grind Artist Series.

The Top of the Grade Concert series is overseen by the Saluda Downtown Foundation, Inc. with support from the City of Saluda. The Saluda Downtown Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the arts, beautification, historic preservation, cultural development, and economic development in downtown Saluda.

The Boot Hill Babes

By Cappy Hall Rearick

United we stand. Divided we fall. We’re tighter than pantyhose two sizes small!

Recently I almost joined a workout center where sweet young things sported thonga-majigs that barely covered their thingamajigs. For fifteen minutes I gawked, feeling years older than I did when I walked in. They worked their pecs and abs like NFL linebackers; they pushed-up, pulled-up and jogged, all while texting. How did they do that? One look at the sweet young things cavorting and I couldn’t get out the door fast enough.

In the past, workout centers promised to make me live longer, and for way too long I gobbled up the sales pitch like hot popcorn. I signed up even while my brain screamed that I would sooner eat dirt than exercise.

These days, I am happy to simply walk each morning with women my own age living with similar physical issues and who know how to hold verbal conversations. I go for morning walks rather than deep stretches.

As if marking territory, my friends and I walk in the local cemetery. The real residents there don’t give a hoot that we’re on Social Security or that we wear baggy sweats instead of thongs. The flat pavement surrounding the graveyard makes for a fairly easy walk. Flat is important after you reach a certain age plateau where no one knows bupkis about CPR.

Most days, I work alone at my computer, so the early morning strolls allow me to socialize. Over time, we have managed to share searing social commentary, Netflix reviews, recipes and family shenanigans and occasionally some first-rate group therapy.

Our den mother sends me a wakeup text at 7 a.m. It is not the highlight of my day, but it’s good to know she’s keeping us on track. By eight o’clock I am still groggy but manage to perch my numb tush on the front seat of my car where I tool toward Reebok Ridge or Boot Hill, depending on my frame of mind.

One of our walkers is energetic and single-minded in her quest to work out all her body kinks collected over the years. Dressed to the nines, she huffs and puffs along with the rest of us, and often leaves to attend a spin class. Am I missing out on something important?

Two blocks away from the cemetery another friend with a smile that won’t go away meets us. When she doesn’t show up, there is a large hole created by her absence. Sometimes she brings her neighbor who loves all dogs but not many people. She says her dogs don’t interrupt her, so I figure that’s the reason she talks like a motormouth.

Another friend’s knee replacement motivated her to use her feet more often than her wheels, so most days she can be found roaming all over town like the energizer bunny. She makes me tired.

We normally avoid political and/or religious topics and most of the time we succeed. Having a spirited discussion on the upcoming election and the anticipated results is so topical these days that it is no longer totally off track unless one of us gets ticked. We are more apt to discuss arthritis medications than up-to-the-minute fashions, and news of a better-designed walking shoe is always an attention grabber.

Should the talk turn morbid, we glance around at all the tombstones to get a reality check and a quick change of conversation. Much like the ebb and flow of life itself, lively conversation fuels our pace. Our eight o’clock walks have more to do with companionship, support and sisterhood than sweaty exercise.

My walking buddies offer compassion when needed and a pat on the back when deserved. It doesn’t matter to them that I wouldn’t wear a thong if my very life depended on it.

Someday, I expect I’ll be a permanent boneyard resident but when that day comes, my spirit will show up at eight o’clock each morning to walk with my friends.

Sisters By Choice

Sisterhood, sisterhood calling others to walk

And come together where each can talk

About what’s going on in different parts of the world

Sharing tales with each other of when we were a girl

Speaking as a woman, sometimes loud is good

When we walk together as a sisterhood should.

SLIP COMMUNITY EDUCATION OFFERING HITS A HIGH NOTE

On June 19, Dr.  Kay Harkins provided an amazing, informative and useful program on Mental Health and the Aging Brain.  She spoke about the newest medicines to treat mental decline, how to prevent or delay the onset of such decline, and clarified what is ‘normal’ and what symptoms might need to be checked out by a physician.

Her presentation was just one of the monthly educational offerings by SLIP—Saluda Living in Place.  As you can see from the photograph, taken by our very own Kathy Beyer, SLIP secretary, attendance was large because so many residents here are interested in maintaining a strong and healthy lifestyle.

For more information on SLIP and the programs it offers to help residents stay in our own homes and continue to lead active and healthy lifestyles even as we age, go the the SLIP website: www.slipnc.com.  Or go to our email: SaludaLivingInPlace4@gmail.com

Stay Cool with Looking Glass Realty this Coon Dog Day 2024!

By Kimberly Gage

Looking Glass Realty has been enjoying supporting our community this spring and finding fun ways to keep everyone cool. From our free ice cream stand at the Green River Bash to the golf cart rides we offer at the Saluda Arts Festival; we love being a part of these Saluda traditions.

Looking Glass Realty looks forward to serving you this Coon Dog Day with a Hydration Station in the Looking Glass Realty office parking lot. We will keep everyone hydrated with water to drink, a sprinkler for the kids, and pup cups for the dogs. Look for our float in the parade and then join us at our office on Main Street to cool off from the day’s heat. Earlier that morning, two of our agents, Kevin and Gina Burnett, will continue their tradition of hosting the Coon Dog Day 5K with all proceeds benefitting the Saluda Elementary School.

Hope to see you there!

Saluda Visitor’s Center

Have You Noticed?

This bike, pictured above, has been in front of the Saluda Visitor Center since the Center opened in May of 2020. The idea took four years to catch on, but since the Arts Festival, there are “flower bikes” all over town thanks to the creativity of Barbara Cardais. What better symbol to welcome the many, many bikers to town as well as welcome the Saluda Grade Trail which will one day be a hiking and biking trail. Hendersonville has its bears (which I don’t think they actually welcome to town), Tryon has its horses, and now Saluda has its bikes. Also, please note that there are always flowers inside and outside of the Visitor Center thanks to Glen Franklin and Susan Casey. We’d like to thank them for sharing their gardening talents with us. Our volunteers keep them watered. Jim Carson helps, too.

Also, notice the large murals on the side of City Hall and between the Visitor Center and Jim Carson’s Studio. These were painted by Barbara Cardais as well. The murals provide a wonderful backdrop for photographs for visitors to remember their visit to Saluda…or if you live here, to remember when you went in town to check your mail at the post office.

Did You Know?

It is July in Saluda! July brings lots of life to our small town.

First there is the 4th of July activities with red, white and blue everywhere and celebrations of our Nation’s birth.

The 4th of July is also the day in 1878 that the railroad was completed, and the first train arrived in Saluda.

July also welcomes the annual Coon Dog Day.

This one-of-a-kind festival is always celebrated on the first Saturday after the 4th of July. This year, that day will be Saturday, July 6. A piece of advice, leave your cat at home on this day!

There are many activities going on in our area. These activities are posted in the Visitor Center. If you have events or activities that you would like to post in the Visitor Center, please send them or email them to Misty Davis at misty.davis@;allentate.com

The Visitor Center hours are 11:00 am to 4pm daily.

The Visitor Center, located at 20 W. Main Street, has a nice open room with information about Saluda and the surrounding area (including maps, brochures, hiking trail info and local activities} and two ADA-compliant restrooms. The Center features a slideshow created by the Saluda Historical Society that highlights Saluda’s history. The center is run by an all-volunteer staff and is supported by the Saluda Tourism Development Authority,

Additionally, we’d like to invite visitors and residents alike to visit the Center to learn about Saluda’s Historic walks or scenic drives.  We also have “Things to do in Saluda” list, restaurant menus, lodging choices and a variety of business pamphlets. We continue to put out a call for more volunteers for short shifts to provide information and keep the facility in shape. The shifts are easy and fun, you meet nice people, and you will be properly trained before starting. Please consider volunteering or just drop by to say hello! We have dog snacks, too.

If you are interested in volunteering or learning more about the Visitor Center please contact, Director Misty Davis at mistydavis@allentate.com

The Saluda Pantry continues to fill an ever-growing need for supplementary food assistance in our community and we're looking for new volunteers! Please consider being part of our team of core volunteers who commit 3 hours a month to reducing food insecurity in Polk and Henderson Counties.

At the Saluda Pantry the sense of community and impact is immediate. Every task, from sorting donations to greeting shoppers to stocking shelves, directly contributes to alleviating hunger in our community. The close-knit teams value each volunteer's contributions, making the experience feel personal and significant.

Volunteering here isn’t just about giving back; it’s about becoming part of a supportive community and making a tangible difference.

Ruby-throated hummingbirds are likely the most common hummingbird species in the world, but there is much to be learned about their life history. Alas, many facts about hummingbirds are clouded by misperceptions and untruths. During his presentation, Dr. Bill Hilton Jr., principal investigator for “Operation RubyThroat: The Hummingbird Project,” will bust some common myths about ruby-throats and share exciting results of his work —including citizen science hummingbird expeditions to the Neotropics. Please register for this event at conservingcarolina.org/calendar. The Saluda Library Speaker Series is held on the 2nd Tuesday of the month at 44 West Main Street, Saluda, NC. This program series is made possible thanks to Polk County Public Libraries’ partnership with Conserving Carolina, and a generous Free Community Events grant from Polk County Community Foundation. Saludians Create Beautiful Flower Displays

Eighteen Saludians and friends spent a meaningful week in Carunchio, Italy in June and participated in the annual “Infiorata,” or Flower Festival. The Carunchio residents had spent days gathering flower buds, pulling petals off roses, coloring natural grains in un-natural colors like blue and orange, loading up pointy little jars with coffee grounds to create dark outlines around letters, and generally preparing for the Sunday morning of the festival when they would, as a town, create more than 30, 6x9 foot, amazing depictions of religious and secular symbols, all in flowers, leaves, ferns, leaves,  rice, couscous and other natural plant materials.  Our Saluda contingent created two flower displays that were among the most beautiful.    Susan Cannon, a Sister City board member on her second visit to Carunchio, explained that the festival is actually the Catholic holiday of Corpus Christi and is celebrated all over Italy.  She said, “The village came alive with children and adults to create artistic images on the streets and in the churches on this important holiday.  After Mass, a procession with clergy and a horn band walked through the streets down to the piazza where the flower panels were spread out.” The rest of the week the Saludians enjoyed tours, delicious  meals, a visit to the historic Trabocco or “fish house” in the edge of the Adriatic Sea, fun cooking lessons with Chef Dino and more!

A Visit to Carunchio Elementary School

Our visitors not only participated in events in the town and at the Palazzo, but they also visited the Carunchio Elementary School. Our travelers brought with them a treasure trove of art supplies including watercolors, acrylic paints, magic markers, colored pencils, crayons, coloring books to demonstrate English words, and more. One of the Saluda visitors, Kevin Fuller, amazed the children with his original origami cranes and wooden puzzles. Susan Cannon reported that the Saluda visitors were treated to songs by the children in English and in Italian. Susan shared with the students and teachers letters she brought with her from our Saluda Elementary students and received student letters and a supply of books to be delivered to our Saluda Elementary School when it resumes in the fall.

Our Italian Visitors Arrive July 10.

Nora Criscio and Marta Pignatelli will arrive in Saluda on July 10.  Sister City board member Pam Gray has created an amazing calendar for them with donations of time and friendship offered by so many Saludians. The girls will attend concerts, drive the Blue Ridge Parkway, and attend performances at Tryon Fine Arts Center, Rogers Park, Flat Rock Playhouse and Saluda‘s own McCreery Park.  They will visit Biltmore House, zip down the Gorge, eat complementary meals at all of Saluda’s fine restaurants, learn about social programs that protect abused women and abused horses (one in Hendersonville and the other in Columbus)and experience real American family life with six different families, one in Charlotte, four in Saluda and one at Lake Norman. It was a life-changing visit for Benedetta Formisano, our first exchange student,  and we expect a similar impact on Nora and Marta thanks to the generosity and friendliness of our Saluda community. If you see Nora or Marta on the street, please stop and say hello, welcome them and see if they have any questions you can answer. Plan to come to the Community Table dinner on July 23 when our two visitors and the Sister City board will be preparing a fine Italian dinner for the community.

June 2025 FLOWER FESTIVAL Has 8 Rooms Open

June of 2025 will see Saluda travelers and friends flying to Italy to participate in Carunchio’s annual Flower Festival.  We have just received the date of June 21, 2025, for next year’s Trip to Carunchio.. Massimo said the date is “99% certain,”although the mayor has not confirmed it.  The Festival is an amazing opportunity to interact with local Carunchio residents and enjoy all that the Palazzo has to offer…fine red wine, amazing Italian cuisine, trips to explore the Abruzzo region, comfortable accommodations… all for one price after you buy your airfare to Rome. Our Sister City price is much lower than the standard internet price: less than $2,500 per person all-inclusive except airfare (or you can buy it on the internet for over $5,000 per person). It really is a deal and an amazing experience.  And we’ll help you plan some extra days before or after if you want. For full brochure, contact Judy Thompson at jdt@JDThompsonLaw.com.

Come early and stay late for dinner but, most of all, enjoy this free cultural presentation brought to you by Saluda Sister City. WALKS IN THE WOODS

Note: there is No Scheduled Walk on Sunday July 7th.

July 21st - Lazy Girl This is a 1-mile easy walk of about an hour. The trail traverses a stream and connects Esseola Drive through the woods to Laurel Drive in Saluda. No pets on this walk.

August 4th - Ollie's Falls/Missing 40 This 1-mile loop of moderate, wooded trail will take about 1-2 hours. The trail head is located on Pearson Falls Road just above the concrete bridge over the North Pacolet River. The trail is well blazed, kid and pet friendly, and has several easy water crossings.

Walkers meet at the parking lot of the Saluda Library at 2 pm. A SCLT member will keep you aware of the terrain of the trail and share their insights about the history, flora, and fauna of the area.

Prepare for each walk with comfortable shoes, a walking stick, water, and maybe a snack. Feel free to bring your field guides and a camera. Please provide any pertinent medical history to your guide. Many of these hikes will access private property. SCLT has obtained the owners' permission to allow you to access these areas that are normally not available to the public.

Call ahead to determine whether the hike will welcome four-footed companions.

Congratulations Youth Partner Challenge Completers,

Tatum and Mason!

Two students at Saluda School have recently completed the

Saluda Community Land Trust Youth Partner Challenge. These

eager hikers completed 7 hikes in the Saluda area and a service

project at Henry’s Nature Center.

They worked hard removing invasive species and planting native plants at

the entrance. They both are enthusiastic about hiking and will work toward motivating other students to complete the challenge.

At Saluda School there are 19 students who have completed at

least one hike on the YP Challenge. Many thanks to Denise

Kennedy, a teacher at Saluda School, who has arranged

promotional events and organized school sponsored hikes.

Also, thanks to the Polk County Recreation Dept. for providing

transportation to a hike on the Palmetto Trail.

We are proud of Mason and Tatum who are the next

generation of those who will continue the mission of SCLT.

Check out the website for more information on the SCLT Youth

Partner Challenge.

Please continue to donate your gently used books by calling Nita High at 828-747-8692 or by dropping off books at the depot.

Did You Know?

The Saluda Historic Depot has received a large artifact loan from the family of Matt Bumgarner, author of “Saluda from Top to Bottom”. Mr. Bumgarner passed away last year, and his family is placing several pieces of his collection in our depot to be shared with the Saluda community. We are currently preparing these items for display.

The first item to be placed on display is this Headlamp from Engine 1394 which is only one of four Southern Railway PS-4 class engines to lead the funeral train of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The funeral train, with Mrs. Roosevelt on board, left Warm Springs, GA on April 13, 1945, and traveled, as per Mrs. Roosevelt’s request to “Run Slow, Run Silent”, toward Atlanta and eventually on to Greenville SC, Charlotte NC and onto Washington DC where a service was to be held in the East Room of the White House. However, all along the tracks of the Funeral Train there were people, “Dazed and somber, they stood at the crossings, they stood at the little depots and on weedy sidings, they stood in the middle of nowhere. So long as the funeral train would pass them, people seemed satisfied with any spot. They were unmindful of heat or chill, sunlight or darkness. As the train approached, many dropped to their knees. The people did not wave, as Life Magazine said, they wept.” (Excerpt from Robert Klara’s book “FDR’s Funeral Train”)

The country was in the midst of a massive World War and a beloved President Roosevelt, recently elected to his fourth term and leader of the free world had died. The question that was in every American’s mind must have been “How will we overcome the loss of such a great man?”

After Washington, the funeral train continued to Hyde Park, NY where FDR was buried.

There are many stories told about the FDR Funeral Train. Visit the Saluda Historic Depot and let us share some of those stories with you.

We at the Saluda Historic Depot would like to thank the Bumgarner family for sharing this priceless piece of American History with us.

Saluda Train Tales July Speaker is photographer, Jeffery Stoner

Jeffery Stoner has had a lifelong passion for photography, but only became a professional photographer when he began selling his images in 2004

He is especially known for his Goats of Roan and Steam Locomotive images and his images have been featured in international, national, and regional publications.

His latest book, Taproots of Tennessee, was published in 2019 by the University of Tennessee Press and illustrates stories about the Tennessee state-owned historic sites.  In 2016 his images were featured in a book of Poetry by K.S. Hardy titled Natural History. In 2013 Shanti Arts published Current Essays on the Passing of Time in the Woods in which fifty-five of his images illustrate the short stories of Robert McGowan.

Mr. Stoner is represented by galleries in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, and Virginia. He speaks to groups throughout the southeast on topics including, The History of Train Photography which is the topic of his discussion at the Saluda Historic Depot on Friday, July 19 at 7:00 PM. All are welcomed and doors will open at 6:30.

The Carolina Special

"Despite its singular name, the train served both Carolinas, with a northern section going to Greensboro and Goldsboro, N.C., and the southern section serving Spartanburg, Columbia, and Charleston. The train was divided at Asheville. Over the years the consists varied (sleepers from Cincinnati to Columbia and Charleston were listed in 1917, Chicago-Columbia in 1925, Cincinnati-Spartanburg in 1930, and so forth), but typically they included a Chicago-Charleston car. Before the train was inaugurated, the Southern had run a Charleston-Cincinnati sleeper by way of Augusta and Atlanta (Georgia Railroad), but for the 57 years of its life, the Carolina Special offered a unique connection to the Cincinnati gateway.”

Preserving Saluda’s Past for its Future

HISTORIC SALUDA TOUR OF HOMES IS A GREAT SUCCESS!

Entryway table in the home of Clark and Pam Thompson. To honor the first five decades of Saluda’s history, each homeowner displayed a picture from the historic downtown district taken between the 1880s and 1930s.

Words cannot describe our gratitude for those who helped make the Historic Saluda Tour of Homes such a success. We could not have done it without our homeowners, sponsors, and volunteers. We also appreciate all the local businesses who helped sell tickets. We appreciate the kindness of the Saluda First Baptist Church for allowing us to use their parking lot to coordinate transportation. Thank you to the City of Saluda for their continuing support since our very first tour. We deeply appreciate the use of the Visitor Center as our home base. It was the perfect location. Check out our YouTube channel for a slideshow featuring the tour at @HistoricSaludaNC or our Facebook page.

“It’s an understatement to say Lauretta Cook did a fantastic job chairing this year’s event! Having been personally involved since our first home tour was held in 2011, I know the level of commitment it takes to plan and coordinate such an event. We are so grateful to have Lauretta on our committee and appreciate the fact she has a strong desire to carry out the mission of the Historic Saluda Committee, Preserving Saluda’s Past for its Future. In the heat of the summer one of the coolest places in town is River Dog Run….literally and figuratively! We keep the temps comfortable for our customers and we have so many casual and cool offerings.

After some quick sales, we now have more of Bernard Edward’s work including a guinea hen and a sailfish. His wood works are displayed at galleries throughout western North Carolina and as owner Lisa Preston Clark says “we are so fortunate to be able to offer some of his pieces to our customers. His artistic talent is only surpassed by his intricate workmanship. And his work is so relatable.”

We have the perfect pillow for your porch or guest room! From “Life is Better in the Mountains” to our new “I used to be a type A but in the mountains, I am a good C+.” Our pillows are the perfect place to rest your head! Or you can speak to your guests with “Move over the dog sits here.” We also have exquisite decorative pillows without “sassy sayings” on them!

Saluda celebrates a lot of “Girl’s Weekends” and we have the appropriate tea towels to commemorate the time with “Girls Weekend: Life is too short to remain dignified” or “I’m outdoorsy in that I like drinking on porches.” The most popular being “Drinks well with others.” A necessity among friends!

For an unusual gift we have local artist Susie Hearn’s pottery; her dogs are in canoes, sailboats and airplanes. She is a master at finding items and fashioning a puppy to go with it! We even have a roadster with a gentlemanly looking dog standing beside it!

Our romper/aprons continue to be a hit and a way to beat the heat. With a tee shirt they can be worn for most any occasion and are cool looking and feeling. And if you feel the need to stay in and cook or do some artwork, they have great pockets!

One of our newest offerings is cards. From “I Love You More than Wine” to picturesque hummingbirds we can satisfy almost any occasion for you.

This is a mere sampling of our wares; we get new things almost every day so come in and catch up! We’d love to see you!

It’s summer and everyone is ready for some fun. Saluda Outfitters and Green River Eddy’s Tap Room and Grill are boosting activities to provide the most awesome experience for our customers. New on our agenda is Wednesday karaoke with DJ Honeybee (Morgan Bass from Shelby). We invite singers (and those who always wanted a chance to be a singer) to join in the fun every other Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. Dates in July will be July 10 and 24, with alternating Wednesdays after that. DJ Honeybee is an experienced event provider who offers high-energy Karaoke dance parties.

We’ll be open on July 4 with all your favorite foods and drinks available. Come enjoy a relaxing day where you do not have to do the cooking. Place your order, take your seat and sit back and enjoy! The best part—you can bring the whole family and we have the space to accommodate you and yours—kids and fur babies, too!

We are so excited for Coon Dog Day activities on July 6 that will include two live bands starting with some youth bluegrass music. At our live music venue on our awesome deck overlooking Ozone Road and Main Street, we are going to kick off our free live music at 12:30 p.m. with some truly special youngsters in a band called Newfound Gap. This four-some of kids ages 11 to 16 are all brothers and sisters in the Davis family from Leicester who are musically talented beyond their age. They are award winners in various categories in the bluegrass music industry and have graced the stage with several well-known entertainers, including banjo great Bela Fleck. Come have lunch and enjoy their music between 12:30 and 2 p.m.

Later in the evening, as always, we’ll have our 7-10 p.m. live band on deck. Crystal Creek is a country and southern rock band that will have everyone out of their seat dancing. After a long day of enjoying other downtown activities during Coon Dog Day, join us for a relaxing and entertaining time, breath in the cool mountain air, have a cold brew or cocktail and order your favorite meal from our Green River Eddy’s Tap Room & Grill menu.

Also, as a bonus, we are now hosting live music on deck on Sunday afternoons from 2-5 p.m. If you are staying in town or just want to wind down after Saturday’s activities, join us for a late lunch and the incredible music of the Garry Lee and Kate Acoustic Duet.

Another special event during July is a program in partnership with the Saluda Sister City organization. On Wednesday, July 17, at 4 p.m., Saluda Outfitters will host author Jay Wilkinson who will share an exciting and entertaining take on his book, “A Lie Will Suffice: A DiGiovanni Family History.” Wilkinson’s family had strong ties to organized crime and all the drama that goes with it. The program is free, and a special Italian appetizer and cocktail will be available for purchase. While there is no charge to attend, reservations to reserve your seat are encouraged by visiting www.saludasistercity.org. Attendees are invited to stay after the program and have dinner.

Remember, we serve food from our awesome restaurant from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights and until 9 p.m. on Sunday.

You can always stay abreast of all our activities by signing up for our online newsletter or checking events on our website www.saludaoutfitters.com. You can also check out all our upcoming July live music events elsewhere in this publication.
