Grateful for PTC Leaders and Trainers
A year ago, the staff at the Powerful Tools for Caregivers non-profit in Portland, Oregon reached out to my colleagues at Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. They asked if we would like to host PTC, and we responded with an enthusiastic, yes!

It has been a meaningful experience learning about the nuts and bolts of PTC and incorporating the program into our university.

I am grateful to step forward to support this impactful program and get to know so many influential people. It has been such a pleasure to connect to PTC staff, Master Trainers, and Class Leaders. You all are making such an incredible impact in your community.

As the year draws to a close, we reflect with gratitude on the successful transition of PTC to Iowa State University Extension and Outreach. We are:
  • Proud to have research confirm that virtual PTC classes are effective.
  • Grateful to 50 Master Trainers who offered 40 Class Leader Trainings this year. Welcome to 388 new Class Leaders!
  • Amazed by the dedication of Class Leaders who offered over 200 PTC classes in 2021 across the US and Canada.

Caregivers need support more now that ever. Thanks to each one of you for supporting caregivers with Powerful Tools for Caregivers.

Have a bright holiday season,
Dr. Jel Lee
