Construction Underway: Representing the largest concentration of impervious parking and roof surfaces in the City's Near Westside, Onondaga Commons is also one of the largest contributors of rainwater runoff into the Syracuse combined sewer system. Working in partnership with the Onondaga County Green Infrastructure Fund, our new installations spread across the 6 acre Onondaga Commons campus will manage roughly 10 million gallons annually in rainwater runoff that would otherwise overload the local sewer system and result in raw sewage overflowing into our Community's local water systems.

THE PLACE TO BE...

CUSTOMIZED TO FIT YOUR NEEDS

Onondaga Commons offers a Near Westside location with over 60,000 sq. ft. of leasable space and over four acres of surface parking. It is affordable space and, as tenants will testify, Onondaga Commons enjoys a longstanding reputation for personal safety and security. If you are in need of small suites, an entire floor of already built out private offices, large or small spaces suitable for employee cubicles, inside vehicle storage or warehousing space, Onondaga Commons may be the perfect fit for your organization or business.

SUSTAINABILITY FOR THE FUTURE

The current initiatives at the 5+- acre campus in downtown Syracuse include the redevelopment of 2 additional vacant properties and incorporate a number of state-of-the-art sustainability demonstration components. For example, our current efforts will include the largest privately pursued green infrastructure project in Onondaga County, which will manage up to 10 million gallons of storm-water runoff annually as a component of broader coordinated efforts to revitalize the most polluted lake in the United States.

INNOVATION + BUSINESS ACCELERATION 2.0

We are drawing from our successful track record to build a larger community that brings organizations and businesses from diverse fields together to inspire people to think collaboratively. Imagine a place that encourages different disciplines to interact, and where individuals are able to work smarter and unleash their creativity to accelerate the development of new ideas and conserve money. This goal will be advanced with a business incubator and innovation accelerator, an effort spearheaded by W. Michael Short and our partners at Short Enterprises in collaboration with the NYS Small Business Development Center at Onondaga Community College. The design is to connect entrepreneurs with resources, coaches, and new relationships with like-minded forward thinking leaders to enhance the way we live and work. This new initiative is intended to create a long-lasting connection with the area's culturally rich and diverse urban lifestyle and provide an affordable safe work environment for promising employers of the future. This project will be centered on the adaptive reuse and redevelopment of 506 West Onondaga Street.
