Mornings at Smith School

All student drop off is on Liberty Street. This is a continuous drop off area only. We ask that you pull up, let your child out, and then pull forward to let the next person drop off their child. After exiting the car, students will walk to their designated entrance doors.

As students arrive at school, students in Kindergarten, First and Second grades will line up in front of the school off Liberty Street.

Students in 3rd grade will line up and enter through the Mason Avenue doors.

Students in 4th and 5th grades will line up at the lobby doors (new doors) on Heffner Street.

All students will enter the school at 8:20 a.m. In case of inclement weather, students will line up inside the school building.

Bus students:

Buses will drop off students on Heffner Street. A staff member will be on duty to assist K-3 students to lineup at the SACC doors and 4-5 students at the lobby doors.

**FYI: 2022-2023 Lunch Policies

The USDA made it possible for school nutrition programs to serve all students free meals through "waivers" during the school years; 20/21 and 21/22 due to the pandemic. Congress did not extend these waivers for the upcoming school year, 22/23, which means meals, both breakfast and lunch, will be regularly priced.
