There aren't many family activities to do in the city for FREE. Public skating is one of them and the city has managed to get many of the outdoor rinks to freeze despite the unseasonable temperatures we've had so far this season, so skating outdoors is actually quite enjoyable right now. There are some great spots in Toronto: the Natrel Rink at Harbourfront, Evergreen Brick Works in Rosedale, Mel Lastman Square just down the street from us, and of course Nathan Phillips Square in the heart of downtown. Click here for more details on popular rinks.
For a list of all outdoor rinks, click here. Click herefor the outdoor rink locator. And if weather isn't permitting, click herefor drop-in times at an indoor rink near you. Most rinks will have additional times to take advantage of during the holiday break. Speaking of FREE, bring your skates into Play It Again Sports North York and we'll sharpen them for FREE!
