The Delaware Broadband Office at the Department of Technology and Information has posted a new survey aimed at identifying the interests, opinions, and needs of Delawareans from populations who, statistically or historically, have had less access to internet service or connected devices or to digital skills development. Those “covered populations” under the federal Digital Equity Act include low-income households, senior citizens, racial and ethnic minorities, veterans, rural residents, incarcerated and returning individuals, people with disabilities, and those with language or literacy barriers. That covers over 80% of Delawareans!
A person DOES NOT have to belong to a covered population nor personally experienced a lack of digital equity to complete the survey.
The survey may be completed with assistance from another person and there is a question on there that lets the respondent explain the assistance they used to complete it.
