NEWS & ANNOUNCEMENTS

SIRKIS/BIALAS IQ - NEWS & PLANS FOR 2017
Dear Friends, Collegues, Music Lovers & Supporters,

2016 was (and still is) a very intense, productive, exciting and at the same time pretty tough and challenging year for most people. We are living in very turbulent times and it gives us - musicians and other artists even deeper reasons to spread positive energy and to express, some graditude toward all the good that happens to us every day.

Thanks to all my international collegues and colaborators for an enjoyable work together and a great musicianship!

I`d like to thank all the fans, listeners, promoters, photographers, friends and our families for supporting our music and making us feel welcomed and appreciated! We can only return this appreciation back to all of you!

I`m delighted to announce some exciting events and happenings planned for 2017!  Sirkis/Bialas IQ featuring Sylwia Bialas on vocals, Frank Harrison on piano & keyboards, Kevin Glasgow on bass and myself on drums, percussion & konnakol - are going to begin the New Year with a tour supported by Arts Council England.

This time we will be experimenting with some new tunes which Sylwia and myself are composing for Sirkis/Bialas IQ` s second album. We plan to record the album later in the new year.

Some of you might have heard about Sylwia`s passion for cooking. She has been working recently on her musical cook book with healthy recipes and stories from the road. You`ll also soon have an opportunity to taste our own new line of an organic bean to bar "arti-choc"! Stay tuned for all the news!

May 2017 be full of peace, music and good vibes!

Happy Holidays and a great New Year to All of You...

ASAF SIRKIS - NEWS

Moonjune 'Full Moon' feature, new collaborations and releases +
end of the year sale!!!
Many thanks to Leonardo Pavkovic
who is the man behind the Moonjune record label - one of the most prolific and forward thinking persons in music today - for creating a nice feature and a FREE taster download with some of the recordings I played on over the years.
KLICK HERE to check it out.

Extra big thanks to a legendary drummer,
Dr. Bill Bruford who wrote the following quote for this feature:

'Listening to Asaf at work, two things are immediately obvious: passion and commitment. Blessed with technical skills that are disarmingly under-played, his middle-Eastern sensibility balances the potentially volcanic with the meditative and reflective. A master of creative surprise, it's on the edge of your seat listening when Asaf's in town'.

                                      ***

I've been recently collaborating with many other Moonjune artists such as Indonesian keyboardist Dwiki Dharmawan , Markus Reuter, Mark Wingfield, Serbian guitarist Dusan Jevtovic and more.

Watch out for some new albums coming up with these guys in 2017 on Moonjune records.
Dwiki Dharmawan`s new album
'Pasar Klewer' is available on bandcamp

Looking forward to touring Indonesia with Dwiki`s band in March 2017.

TIM GARLAND`S
album:

"ONE"

featuring:

Tim Garland - sax
Jason Rebello - keys
Ant Law - electric guitar
Asaf Sirkis - drums

has been nominated to a
Grammy Award!

`...Intelligent, emotional, moving music of this magnitude is rare in today's chilling reality of non-culture and gems like this one should be embraced and admired...
The entire quartet seems to act as a symbiotic organism, in complete contrast to the usual singer/band circumstances.`
