SVCF sends a big heartfelt thank you to Xilinx for sponsoring the 4th Annual Young Professionals Day! This one day career exploration and workforce readiness workshop was attended by 23
of our Higher Education YES Scholars.

Xilinx
employees volunteered their Saturday to help our foster youth prepare for the workforce. They play an important role as caring and committed role models for our foster youth. The Xilinx team helped our students develop resumes that would standout in a highly competitive job market and discussed best practices to create and leverage their Linked-In profile. All students also received a headshot in their professional dress to post on their Linked-In site. Additionally, they focused on important "soft skills," including communication and dress etiquette. Students also participated in mock interviews where they learned how to prepare for a job interview and how to exemplify their strengths.
