Message from the Interim CEO

Interim CEO, Jon Martin shares GGHI's recent acquisition of funding for a grant writer and more in this month's message.


Lunch with the Mayors, a GGHI Signature Event, is Set for March 26th

Attendees will hear from each mayor in attendance during this roundtable event as they discuss their priorities and plans for their term in office as well as answer questions from the floor. 

Last month GGHI received recognition from Washington Economic Development Association for the Olympic Peninsula Small Business Boost program. With the portion of funding our organization received in 2023, we helped 35 small businesses in Grays Harbor receive free professional legal and marketing services.

WA Presidential Primary Underway; Participation Requires Party Affiliation

Ballots must be postmarked by March 12 or returned to a county drop box or voting center by 8 p.m. on March 12. 


Final State Capital Budget Showers Harbor, Tribe in Funding

The Legislature passes $1.3 billion capital budget includes $48 million for projects within the county.


Commissioners Push Ahead with Homeless Shelter Funding

Applicants have until April 30 to submit proposals to the county for up to $500,000. The one time award can only be used for capital investment - purchasing or improving property - in an emergency homeless shelter.


Ocean Shores Residents Form Local Surfrider Foundation Chapter

The Surfrider Foundation, a nationwide organization that focuses on implementing ocean-friendly policies and practices. The new chapter, which also hopes to reach people on the South Beach and inner harbor, is now the only Surfrider group on Washington’s outer coast.
