February Update LinkUS is Central Ohio’s transformational and comprehensive prosperity and mobility initiative. The initiative will provide equitable mobility options for residents and visitors, ensure access to jobs and affordable housing, promote economic growth, and improve sustainability. The innovative approach will include high capacity and advanced rapid transit, bikeways, green space, roadways, pedestrian improvements, and development along key regional corridors throughout Central Ohio.   LinkUS will move our region forward.

East-West Corridor  The East-West Corridor is a significant span of 20 miles from the East Side of Central Ohio to the West Side, representing diverse populations, businesses and neighborhoods. The goal of the East-West Corridor Project is to expand the ability and options for residents to get where they need to go and create great spaces to increase their quality of life. Working with the community to reimagine what modern, reliable transit and shorter travel times could mean in expanding opportunities for everyone is a key to the work of the LinkUS East-West Corridor Project. Northwest Corridor   The Northwest Corridor is accessible by State Route 315, focusing on Olentangy River Road and the surrounding transportation network. It provides commuter connections from northwest communities to downtown.   This corridor links major institutional and employment centers including The Ohio State University, the OhioHealth hospital campus, Grandview Yard, Downtown, and the Arena District. Engaging the community to envision modern rapid transit and other mobility options is central to the success of the Northwest Corridor Project.     Opportunities to engage are happening now and we need to hear from you! This is a collaborative effort with neighborhood partners, suburban jurisdictions, and the private sector that will facilitate new and innovative mobility implementation efforts within the region. The LinkUS initiative will help to address traffic congestion, provide new mobility options, expand access to resources, and promote equity and economic vitality along key regional corridors.
