Hawk Walk

The Hawk Walk is an exciting add-on interactive event for Celtic! The Falconer and a small group of no more than 15 will walk the grounds flying the hawks from the trees to the gloved fist of each patron in turn while they experience the historical art of falconry. Patrons will take part in the thrill of a bird of prey interacting with a trusted human companion. The hour long experience ends with all patrons enjoying and meeting birds at the Falconry Stage, where they can share their experiences in a relaxed setting before heading out to enjoy the rest of their festival day.

Celtic Music!

Celtica - Pipes Rock!
Celtica – Pipes Rock! – Friday, Saturday, & Sunday
Based in Vienna, Austria, the home of W.A. Mozart, this international powerhouse is far from Baroque. With their unique sound of blazing bagpipes, mighty drums, and the power of a metal rock band, CELTICA takes audiences by storm at Highland Games and town festivals worldwide. In addition to their high-energy music and fire juggling, flamethrowers on their instruments guarantee an exciting show: an event that‘s sure to please all the senses! With two world class bagpipers and a kick-ass Rock band to back them up, this unique blend guarantees fiery Rock that brings alive the Celtic spirit. Please welcome these very special guests to this year’s festival; they can be found at the Greenwoode Theatre.
Blaggards
Blaggards - Saturday
The 2022 Sherwood Celtic Music Festival presents Blaggards (no “the”, pronounced BLA’ GUARDS or BLA’ GHERDS, depending on where you’re from). They like to shred what they call Stout Irish Rock: traditional Irish music mixed with rock n’ roll, influenced by everything from Johnny Cash and Elvis to Thin Lizzy and Black Sabbath. They are most frequently compared to bands like Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, and the Pogues.

Piper Gunn

Steady as She Goes! Take a trip to the Highlands with the dulcet and robust sounds of the Scottish bagpipes. Jason Gunn, the issue of many generations of pipers, shall take you on a journey to the Highlands of Scotland. Hear Piper Gunn as he visits the various stages at the festival throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Port O'Thority

Performing on Saturday at the Three Stags Pub, Port O'Thority is a musical journey of Celtic, Pirate and World Folk influences with music and stories celebrating our past, mourning our losses, and looking forward to who we will become. Welcome to the Port O’Thority show! Sláinte!!

Shillelagh!

Texas Celtedelic Irish jam Band, Shillelagh! has played at Sherwood many times. Sometimes at gatherings and sometimes at the faire on various stages. These gifted artists make music in the living tradition, especially the British Isles and Ireland. Enjoy this unique and various band of true bohemians, dedicated to their musical adventures.
