Members of Good Shepherd will receive a "Special Sheep Buzz" on Thursday, May 30th, with the approved budget for 2024-25, biographies of the Call and Nominating Committees and a final report from the Long Range Planning Task Force. Please note, there will be one worship service on June 2, at 10 AM and the semi-annual congregational meeting will follow that service. A limited amount of these documents will be available at the meeting. Following the meeting, we will gather together for a picnic celebration. | |

Highlights from May 14th meeting:
- Members for the Nominating Committee were discussed. Individuals will be asked and the committee's members will be voted on at the Semi-annual meeting on June 2.
- The three youth who will be confirmed on May 19th were approved by Council. A celebration for these confirmands and all those graduating and Youth Sunday will be celebrated at Coffee with Council on May 19th.
- Funds to upgrade the Sanctuary sound system from a dedicated account of Thrivent funds were approved.

Metal Recycling
Caring for Creation is now recycling scrap metals. Help preserve our Planet.
Drop off your scrap metals in the white 55-gallon drum located at the north side of the garage and we will take it to the Metal Recycler in Woodstock.

Fellowship is gearing up for our next event. On June 2nd, following our Semi-Annual Congregational meeting, we will have a hot dog/hamburger picnic lunch. Fellowship needs your help to supply drinks, desserts and side dishes. Please sign up in Fellowship Hall.

GIVE A KID A CHANCE
Give a Kid a Chance is currently registering for volunteers for the GAKAC event on July 20. If you would like to volunteer at Revolution Canton, Revolution Jasper or Hillside in Woodstock, please go to their website, at giveakidachance.org Go to the serve tab on the website, pick the location to serve and follow the directions.
Please note: Due to the nature of this event, all team members must be 6th grade and above, there is no childcare available for 5th grade and under. All Team Members must be background checked. Anyone 18 yrs + will require a background check through Revolution Church, which they provide free of charge.
Outreach will be collecting backpacks in the month of June - so stay tuned for further details.

ADDITIONAL HELP IN THE OFFICE IS NEEDED
During VBS week and a few weeks during the summer, while Mel, our Youth and Family Ministry Coordinator is out of her Office Coordinator role, we would like some additional help in the office answering the phones and the door. Caring for Creation continues to support the Drake House, collecting SEASONAL, clean and like new donations. Look for the big orange drop-off bin in Fellowship Hall.

Handmade Card ministry at GSLC
ALL OCCASION cards are available for a suggested donation of $2.00 per card. All proceeds will support our Good Shepherd Youth Mission Trips. This ministry is being hosted by Molly Maher, Linda Rowell and Pam Hough.
Father’s Day: We will have a limited number of Father’s Day cards available this month and into June. Do you have a father, husband, son, son-in-law, or grandson that you would like to honor on Father’s Day with a card? Get your card(s) while they are available!

Pentecost Sunday | Youth Sunday | Confirmation
What an amazing day we had this past Pentecost Sunday. We celebrated so many things, including the knowledge in knowing the Holy Spirit is our guide in all that we do. We rejoiced with our new confirmands, our high school seniors, our new drivers and brought in summer as we gathered in a youth led service. Thanks be to God!
