Helping Animals and People Make a Connection Through Education, Training & Adoption
Sharing the Love
You made a difference!
February is the month of love and we want to share all that your support helped accomplished at Bellwether Harbor in 2017.

More than 150 stray animals found shelter, that's nearly twice as many as in 2016. Exactly 100 found forever homes. We couldn't have done it without your support!

Thank you for sharing your heart!

Birthday Party Gifts are About Love for Animals
Speaking of hearts and love, Makaila Smith didn't want presents for her 7th birthday. Instead she wants to make the day bright for the animals at Bellwether Harbor because they don't have homes!

She will be having her birthday party at Bellwether Harbor Saturday and has already received many donations. She also received cash donations and went shopping for specific animal food, toys and treats.
Because of that generosity and love, Janice Allen from Fox 17 did a Pay It Forward feature on Makaila that will air at 6 p.m. today. Check the Bellwether Facebook page for a link after it airs. Makailia's heart for the animals also earned her the honor of the top Pay It Forward Person for the month of February. Thank you Makaila for caring about Bellwether Harbor's cats and dogs!

Look for Debbie, Wyatt and Eggnog to make their TV debut!
39 dogs & owners enjoy
Paws & Pints event

Ridge Cider in Grant became a dog meet-up spot at the Paws & Pints event on Feb. 10. It was great fun for a cold day with 39 dogs and their owners saying hello. Many adopted dogs returned with their forever families to say hello. Pictured is Duke making his greeting with his unique howl while Executive Director Danielle Merrill and Anna Grasley get reacquainted. Watch the newsletter for other similar events this summer.
