Dear friend,

These days the sun might be setting a lot earlier, but at BDHLS we are emanating a lot more light than even before!

This Shabbat Jews all over the world are joining in the annual Shabbat Project. The Shabbat Project is a calling to all Jews to step up and get a taste of Shabbat like never before. We invite you, your family and friends, to join us at BDHLS for an elevating Shabbat together. Tomorrow we are hosting a special Unity Kiddush to honor our country's newly elected leaders, and to pray for a brighter future for America.

This week the Lighthouse Project launched its new year with many new classes, in a variety of languages, with several new teachers too. Be sure to check out next week's program for Tuesday & Wednesday night. Click here to sign up to the Lighthouse Project's facebook page.

Once you're at it, if you haven't yet, be sure to like our BDHLS facebook page to stay in the loop of all the amazing things happening here. Click here to like our page.

Next week we are hosting our second BDHLS Men's Club BBQ & Spirits on Thursday night, November 17 at 8pm. Click here to RSVP at no charge, and be sure to invite your friends.

Chanie and I want to wish you a Shabbat Shalom, and a very blessed upcoming week!

Rabbi Eliezer Wolf
DEAR RABBI...
To submit a question to Rabbi Wolf, please email him at rabbiwolf@bdhls.org

DON'T LET YOUR WEAKNESS DEFINE YOU!

Dear Rabbi,

I am scared. No matter the outcome of the elections, I am still very anxious for our country. We are a hugely divided nation; too many families suffer from financial instability; racism and bigotry seem to be more rampant; and the world is becoming a more dangerous place.

Things seem so messy, that I doubt any president is capable of cleaning things up. How can I find hope for my children's future?

Signed - A bundle of nerves

We find a lot of items which are left at the Shul.  A lost and found has been established and items will be kept for 1 month before they are donated or discarded.  In an effort to keep our Shul tidy, please attempt to take all items home with you, or retrieve them from the lost and found in a timely manner. BDHLS SPONSORSHIPS
Thank you to all who generously think of BDHLS when honoring loved one's yahrtzeits, birthdays, anniversaries, achievements, and other simchas through sponsorship of events at the shul. We couldn't offer the beautiful kiddush luncheons, seudah shlishit meals, kids' kiddushim, or holiday celebrations without you. For planning purposes, it is helpful when sponsorships for a particular Shabbat are made by Wednesday of that week. If it is unavoidable, we are always appreciative to receive your sponsorship when you are able to make it.
