From Rav Claudia's Shabbat Tzav Message...
My therapist often reminds me not to make generalizations, avoiding words like "always" ("this person always does x") or "never" ("this person never says y"). Not only about others, but also about myself ("I always do…" or "I never say…"). For me, personally, it is a challenging practice to remind myself to pause before using those words, perhaps using different terms instead, such as "often," "regularly," "almost," or "most of the time." I can recognize that my perception of "always" and "never" might not always be accurate. But this week’s Torah portion has an explicit "always"! Is that possible?

We are grateful to all of you who made donations to Yad Chessed to fulfill the mitzvah of matanot l'evyonim (gifts to those in need). As a community, TBZ collectively donated a total of $8798.93 – and donations are still coming in. Thank you for your generosity! Our friends at Yad Chessed shared: "more than $200,000 was raised from our entire community, which enabled us to assist more than 2,000 individuals with food support on Purim. Yad Chessed is deeply grateful for your partnerships and the collective impact of the generosity across our community which makes the difference for so many among us. We've included a thank you note - just one of so many - that sums up simply the beautiful results of the mitzvot of chessed and tzedakah that your community fulfilled!
