Set Up Weekend

Registration Now Open

Please join us on May 26-29, 2023 at Kingswood for our annual volunteer Set Up WeekendCome experience spring at Kingswood and help to set up camp for the summer!

This is a weekend of both work and relaxation: a time to prepare camp for the summer and to build relationships with each other and the larger Kingswood Family. All meals are provided, Saturday breakfast through Monday lunch. We can accommodate most dietary needs and always include gluten free and vegetarian options. Accommodations are provided at campsites and in the farmhouse.

There is work for everyone, all ages, and all skill levels! You can help set up tents, put out signs, provide meals, clean up the barn and much more! There is time for relaxation, for sharing stories and for celebrating our connection to nature.

Kingswood veterans and folks new to Kingswood are all welcome! Come for the 3-day weekend or come for a day. Please do register, let us know when you're arriving, where you'd like to stay, and any dietary restrictions. We look forward to seeing you Memorial Weekend!

Beauty All Around Us

by Maria Pia Seirup

For the beauty of the earth, for the beauty of the skies . . . for the beauty of each hour, of the day and of the night, hill and vale, and tree and flower, sun and moon and stars of light. … Lord of all to thee we raise, this our hymn of grateful praise.

Beauty all around us … choose any spot on the grounds of Kingswood Campsite and you will find beauty – if you have eyes to see.

Most of us spend so much time indoors that we might miss the beauty of God’s creation all around us.

Summer Volunteer Opportunity: Hancock Education Foundation Field Trip to Kingswood

The local children participating in the Hancock Community Education Foundation will visit us again this coming summer for the day on July 14th. There will be 25-35 children arriving by bus around 9 am and staying until 3 pm. Throughout the day they will be participating in activities around the camp, accompanied by their staff. If you want to participate as a host by helping at the boat dock, leading a hike or assisting kids cooking or making a craft, let Lynn Grainger know at kwadministrator@nyac.com. The Kingswood leadership values this opportunity for the children of Hancock.
