Dance Recital 2019:
"Jump! Shout! Dance!"
Saturday, May 18th & Sunday, May 19th

Dance recital show times are: Noon, 3pm and 6pm each day. Please check the schedule by our main bulletin board for your child's specific show time(s) OR consult the "Recital Confirmation" that will be emailed to you this week.
Recital Packets are sent home in classes this week. These include: Important Dates, Volunteer Form, Ticket Request Form, Photo Order Form, and DVD Order Form.
***NEW*** Your RECITAL CONFIRMATION which details which recital times your dancer performs in plus dress rehearsal dates and times, will be EMAILED to your account email address. These details will not be in your recital packet.
If your child is absent from class this week, their packet will be mailed. For your convenience, links to many of these important documents are included with this newsletter (check the lower left column).
DRESS REHEARSAL:
MANDATORY dress rehearsals are Thursday, May 16th & Friday, May 17th. The dress rehearsal times are listed on your emailed "Recital Confirmation" and also on the dress rehearsal schedule posted at the studio and in the link in this newsletter. Students should arrive at the high school 15 minutes prior to their scheduled rehearsal time, IN COSTUME. We do our best to run rehearsals on time and we appreciate your cooperation. Parents are not allowed in the auditorium during dress rehearsals. Thank you!
COSTUMES:
The costume pictures located on our bulletin board provide information about costume requirements: hair, tights, shoes, etc. Please check that board for those details. If you have further questions, please speak with Peggy in the office.
TICKETS:
Recital tickets are $8 each and are sold lottery style. Your "ticket order form" is in your recital packet. This form should be filled out and returned, with cash or check payment, to our office by Friday, April 12th. Each family is allowed to request up to SIX tickets for their priority show. If your child is in additional shows, you may request up to four tickets for the additional show(s). We then draw ticket requests from a box and seat front to back. Please understand that since seating is limited, we cannot offer more than six tickets per family, even for split families. We ask that you, as parents, handle those ticket divisions without involving us. Thank you!
Families who fail to return their form by the April 12th deadline cannot be guaranteed tickets (though we do our best to make sure parents get tickets). PLEASE return your form on time!
PHOTOS:
Appointments are available for Tuesday, May 14th & Wednesday, May 15th
from 2-8pm here at the dance studio, for professional recital photos. Our new photographer this year is Smith Photographic Arts (check out their dance photography on their website: smithphotographicarts.com). You may sign up for a time to have individual recital photos taken. We have M.S.C.D. staff in each photo room to help ease students and pose them. Sign-up for a picture time beginning Monday, April 8th. Recital photos are not mandatory and are simply provided as a convenience to our dance families.
We understand that recital information can be overwhelming- especially to first year dance parents! Please do not hesitate to ask if you have any questions! We want the experience to be a great one for everybody! Thank you!

Thank you for your continued support and for allowing us to dance with your children! We truly LOVE what we do!
ONLINE registration for Summer 2019 and School Term 2019-20 classes, for currently enrolled M.S.C.D. families, begins Sunday, April 28th. at the following times:
Noon: Levels 3 & 4- this includes Ballet 3, Jazz 3, Modern 3, Tap 3, Intermediate Hip Hop, Musical Theater 1 & 2, Ballet 4, Jazz 4, Modern 4, Tap 4, Advanced Hip Hop,
CBP 3, and CBP 4/5+.

(you may register for Summer Camps at the same time you register for fall, however, we will not process these until after we finish school year registration porcessing.)
Registration opening times are necessary to ensure that we don't overload our server and that we are able to process in a timely manner (registrations are manually approved and processed by our office staff as they are received).
Please do not register prior to your assigned time, or your registration will not be processed. You may register all of your children at once, using the time listed for your oldest child.
If you prefer to register by mail or in person, you may do so beginning Monday, April 29th.
Do you know that M.S.C.D. is online? You can login from our website to pay your account, check account balance and register for classes.
Our 2019-20 Schedule is going out in classes beginning April 8th. For your convenience, your child's schedule will have the appropriate classes highlighted. If your child is absent that week, your schedule will be mailed at the end of the week.
If you have friends or neighbors looking to join our M.S.C.D. family: online, mail, and in person registration for new families begins Monday, May 6th. Thank you for referring us to your friends!
If you have questions about classes or placement, please stop and ask before Sunday, April 28th. Our staff cannot take placement questions on registration day, as this slows our registration processing procedure.

Account Payments:
|
|
Just a reminder that accounts with an outstanding balance due will not be allowed to register for 2019-20 until that balance has been paid in full.
Also, if your account remains unpaid through April, your recital tickets will be held until the account is paid in full. Any unpaid accounts remaining after May 15th will result in the student being unable to participate in the recital and the release of your tickets. We do not want to see this happen to any of our students this year, so please see Peggy in our office to settle any balance or to make payment arrangements. Thank you for your cooperation!

Saturday, April 27th 10:00am - 12:30pm. Dancers entering 4th grade or higher next fall are eligible to audition. A sign-up sheet is posted. More information is available from the office.
Marshfield Youth Ballet Company:
Saturday, May 11th 10:00-11:00am. Dancers in Classical Ballet Program Level 4+ are eligible to audition. More information is available from the office.
MSCD Competition Dance Team:
Saturday, May 11th. 11:30am-1:40pm (see sign up for specifics) Level 4 dancers in Grades 9-12 are eligible to audition. You may audition for any/all of the following: Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop. More information is available from the office.
