The bricks have fallen, but we will build with dressed stones; the sycamores have been cut down, but we will put cedars in their place. Isaiah 9:10 | |
This verse reflects ancient Israel's attitude after they returned from Assyrian exile. They were prideful and would not be defeated! The only problem was that their captivity was God's punishments for the nation’s sins against Him.
With all of the events and situations facing the USA and the world:
overrun borders, terrorist infiltration, Chinese produced fentanyl and other destructive actions, the attack on Israel's population, lack of support for their defense, and a host of other concerns; there is plenty to talk about – but not from the pulpit.
We come to church to strengthen our faith and
deepen our resolve – not wring our hands. However, we could watch a pertinent video that might open our eyes and inspire conversation regarding God’s warnings given to Israel so long ago (and possibly us today).
Beginning Sunday April 28th, I will be running a video in the parish hall from 9:30 – 9:50, just before worship. Come and check it out

The Wednesday Morning Small Group
will begin reading The Book of Acts: The Smart Guide to the Bible on April 10. We take turns reading out loud and stopping to discuss whatever inspires us. It’s easy, fun and makes us all closer, happier and better able to follow Christ in our daily living. Why not join us?
We meet at 10:00 Wednesdays in the Fellowship Hall.

THE LORD'S PRAYER
Last KIDS LEAD Worship, I attempted to teach the children how to sign The Lord’s Prayer. They did pretty well! The next step is for them (and all of us) is to get the Signing down. The kids are also learning a kid friendly version of the Lord’s Prayer to sing while they sign. Hopefully, with your help, we can all sign and dance and sign The Lord’s Prayer regularly in worship. Once you can sign it, and sing it you will never forget it!
Included here is a YouTube link of the man from whom I learned the LP- signing. Please look it up. Learn it yourself and teach your kids! It will be fun; you’ll be discipling your kids in the faith,,
and you’ll have a new dinner activity for your crew!!
