Additional members needed!
Our District is seeking people who are F.A.T. (Faithful, Available, and Teachable). Do you have a passion for supporting the planting of new congregations and missions throughout our District?
Our district has a growing number of new missions starting, specifically church plants! Two in Texas, two in Pennsylvania, one in Michigan, one in California, one in Ontario, and a few other locations across North America in which seeds are being planted. With the opportunity our LCMS Office of National Missions has presented to us through the Church Planting Initiative, our district has access to a valuable resource which directly involves our Mission Action Team.
Within the Church Planting Simplified process, we start with a local Church Planting Team who leads and does the hands-on work of planting the church. Working alongside them is the Advisory Team, whose task is to guide, assist, affirm, and encourage the Church Planting Team. Members of our district advisory teams come from our District Mission Action Team.
Currently, we don’t have enough people to fill the Advisory Teams positions for our current Planting Teams, not to mention those developing. This is a wonderful opportunity to serve and is open to everyone in our District, laity or rostered.
