2025 Youth Gathering

ENDURE is the theme based on Hebrews 12:1-3 for the 2025 Youth Gathering that will be held July 19-23, 2025, in New Orleans, LA. Pastor Derek Mathers and I spent some time recently in the “Big Easy” learning about all things Gathering and exploring some of the venues that will be used. There are some great resources on the LCMS Youth Ministry website.

As the English District Coordinator, I need your help! Please encourage your congregation to send youth to the Gathering and ask that the adult leader reach out to me by email so we can coordinate an English District Event at the Gathering. Even if your congregation isn’t sure about sending youth, please contact me and we can discuss concerns. I know that July of 2025 seems like a long time away, but time flies when you are having fun! Registration will open on November 1st, 2024.

In Our Churches

Peace, Palm Desert, CA

Sunday, April 14th was designated as "Stewardship Sunday" at Peace Lutheran Church of the Desert. Pastor Bowes' sermon encouraged members of the congregation to consider how they might use their time, talents, and treasure in the life of the church. After the service members signed up to assist in different areas of Sunday worship. God amazes us with His Grace. To God be the Glory!

St. Matthew, Toronto, ON

On Easter Sunday the Church of St. Matthew held a treasure hunt for the Sunday school children. The children worked in pairs to find their treasure by following a trail of clues using Bible verses. Those who were successful were given chocolates as gifts. The activity was engaging, promoted team work, and helped to improve their knowledge of the Bible.

Prince of Peace, Mesquite, NV

Members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church gathered for their April Campfire Fellowship by the Joshua Tree Natural National Landmark. They "dry camped" for the three-day event and enjoyed wonderful fellowship and weather.
