A Word from Supervisor Flaherty

Webster Neighbor:

September marks the end of summer and the official start to autumn. This is always a busy time between enjoying the Labor Day weekend and final days of summer, starting the school year, and settling back into shorter days.

Like the rest of our community, the Town of Webster is also busy this time of year. We are in the midst of the 2025 budget process, just beginning school tax collection, and working on several other exciting projects throughout Town.

During September, Webster Town Board and staff members work diligently to prepare and lay the foundation for the year to come. This Thursday, September 5, Town Board will consider a resolution to adopt the tentative budget, making it the preliminary budget. The adoption of the final budget will come later in the year and is subject to a public hearing.

As we plan and prepare for 2025 (and beyond!), the Town of Webster remains dedicated to supporting our community through investing in our town's infrastructure, fostering economic growth, and providing for quality-of-life services and amenities. Library Long Range Plan Survey

Webster Public Library is undergoing their long range plan and is seeking your input! To assist in the library in planning for 2025-2028, please consider completing this feedback survey to provide the Long Range Planning Committee with your thoughts and insights.

School Tax Collection

Begins September 3, 2024

School tax collection season is upon us. The Receiver of Taxes will begin receiving payments Tuesday, September 3, 2024. There are multiple ways to make a payment:

Mail your payment, payable to "Danene Marr, Receiver of Taxes", to 1000 Ridge Road, Webster, NY 14580.
Use the Town's Drop Box, located in the front vestibule of Webster Town Hall and available 24 hours a day. No cash, please.
Pay online through Monroe County's Payment Portal.
Pay in-person at Webster Town Hall. Payments are received 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Fourth Annual Family Mud Run

Saturday, September 21, 10AM - 12PM

1350 Chiyoda Drive

Join us for Webster Recreation's Fourth Annual Family Mud Run! This family-friendly, non-competitive event is open to all 5+. After the run, get hosed off, visit with vendors, and enjoy some food. Pre-registration is required through program #301202. $5 includes giveaways and a 1/2-mile muddy run!

Good News

Webster partners with Monroe County for free clinic

Last month, Webster Animal Control and the Webster Town Clerk's Office partnered with Monroe County Department of Public Health to host a free rabies vaccination clinic at the Webster Highway Garage. Town Staff helped to process over 130 pet vaccinations.

Missed the Webster clinic? Monroe County Department of Public Health has several remaining free clinics through the remainder of the year.
