We were thrilled to celebrate the grand opening of our beautiful new Children's Room on August 3rd! In attendance were our donors, community members, trustees, staff, and elected officials Assemblyman Beephan, Senator Rolison, and Town Supervisor Alan Bell. What an outpouring of support!
Children enjoyed the face painting and balloon animals
and babies and toddlers sampled the toys in the play area, including the new modern kitchen! The Children's Room is ready for the new school year!
However, even with the accomplishing this major goal, we are not done yet. There is a final phase of renovation needed to significantly expand the adult section of the Library and the Board's Capital Campaign is underway for needed funding support.
Please see the fundraiser below for an easy opportunity to contribute to the Capital Campaign by having a family portrait taken at the Library - great for holiday cards or for creating cherished memories!

Thank you!

Join Bob Ulrich, historian, lecturer and retired IBM Engineer for a fascinating talk on the Dutch influence on early America.
For years, the British have received credit for "inventing" America, but it was the Dutch who truly deserve recognition for founding what has become one of the greatest cities in the world. You'll hear how modern America began with the Dutch colony of New Amsterdam and though it lasted only 40 years before the English took over, these were crucial years that laid the foundation for the diversity, tolerance, and commerce that define New York City today.
