New faces around the Building

You'll likely see Leah Stafford, our billing assistant, who previously worked remotely. Please talk with her if you have any questions about billing/EOB’s etc.

REMINDER: Those with commercial insurance AND Medicaid, please continue to bring any checks for therapy services rendered at TTP AND the EOBs, regardless if there was a check. Thank you!

August Therapy Reminders:

Please remember to arrive to your child’s therapy session to pick up your child 10 minutes prior to his/her session ending as this allows our therapists time to come out and give you an update on progress and what to work on at home. Home exercise programs are REQUIRED as a component for all insurance coverage.
Please call Brooke at the front desk if there needs to be any schedule changes and we will do our best to try and accommodate if possible. Please be aware that we have a new phone system so it may sound a little different.

TheraSuit Intensives now paid for by Medicaid!

We are the only clinic in South Carolina offering this intensive, innovative program and are now accepting referrals. LSVT LOUD® Now Available

The Therapy Place is now offering LSVT LOUD® for Kids, an intensive, one-on-one treatment program delivered over one month’s time that helps improve speech and communication in school-aged children with motor speech disorders.

LSVT LOUD® research has shown improvements with articulation and intelligibility, increased vocal loudness, improved intonation, and increased confidence with communication.

Did you know that The Therapy Place is an official DHEC Child Passenger Safety Inspection Station?

TTP has a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) on staff, Dr. Tessa Gonzalez, who can answer questions about child passenger safety, recommend car seats/booster seats, assist with car seat/booster installation, and more! We also have access to resources for families who need help providing an appropriate child restraint for their child (limited number of free seats for qualifying families). If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment with our CPST, Dr. Tessa Gonzalez, please call 803-787-3033 or email her directly at tgonzalez@thetherapyplace.org.
