Drumming Through Trauma!

Drumming Thru Trauma on the campus of Cotuit Center for the Arts is ongoing.

11:30 to 12:30 on Thursdays in the School House.

Beginners welcome. Drums available to share.



- It would be great if you would preregister but drop in is fine.

$15 per person.

Drumming for Recovery

Friday, Drumming for Recovery from 6-7pm at Wellstrong, 180 Teaticket Hwy, Falmouth. Free for anyone in active recovery. Bring a drum if you have one or let me know and I'll bring an extra. samholmstock@gmail.com

Community DRUM CIRCLE

September 15th 2-4 pm in Hyannis at the Town Green Bandstand.


Bring all manner of Drums, percussion, pots and pans... what ever you can express yourself with, be it percussion, sousaphone, Alto-gloop, stringed instruments, African drums, Caribbean drums, Asian drums, Native-American drums, Middle-eastern drums, Digeridoos and everything in between. I'll be bringing a few drums etc but everyone should bring their own or let me know if you need one. Questions to samholmstock@gmail.com

Tuesday Djembe Classes in Harwich.



Brian Porter is now teaching West African Drumming classes in Harwich. Tuesdays, he has a beginner djembe technique class from 4:30- 5:45 and an intermediate class from 6-8 @ Harwich Community Center. For more info contact Brian at djembefola727@gmail.com

We are currently looking for experienced djembe players and/or Drummer/percussionists to fill out the intermediate class.

Rhythm of Reflection

Mindful Outdoor Experience & Drum Circle

Please join musician and drummer Sam Holmstock (samholmstockdrumming.com) and Kripalu Certified Mindful Outdoor Guide Andrea Higgins for a unique two-part immersive outdoor experience including a drumming lesson and mindful guided walk through the serene trails of Cornelius Pond Woodlands. Immerse yourself in music and meditation while surrounded by nature. Pause to appreciate the forest filled with tall oaks, pines, and sassafras trees, a coastal plain pond, and a meadow teeming with songbirds, dragonflies, and butterflies. Rekindle your sense of curiosity, discovery, and wonder, and close your morning adventure by enjoying the healing and therapeutic benefits of a drum circle.

Saturday, October 5th (10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.): Cornelius Pond Woodlands

Cost: $40 per person.

Drums and chairs will be provided.

In case of inclement weather, the program will be canceled & your reservation refunded.

This months Drum Circle will be held at the Hyannis Village Green Bandstand, 367 Main St, Hyannis, MA 02601. 2-4pm $10. Parking is free and close by in the town lot behind the Post Office.
