The SESLOC Cares Program, in partnership with News Channel 12, chose Habitat for Humanity SLO County to honor a valuable volunteer who helps our community thrive.
Jeannie Carpenter has dedicated two decades of her life to serving our community with Habitat SLO, and has actively participated in a wide range of projects from being a construction crew leader to volunteering on the creation of playhouses that bring joy to local children. Her involvement has contributed to Habitat’s overarching goal of building a stronger, more vibrant community. Congratulations, Jeannie!

Vine Street Build Site Sept. 2023 | Vine Street Build Progress |
The early stages of construction don't always bring the excitement that seeing a near-finished structure does, but knowing this road will soon bring nine families home makes a little dirt path that much more meaningful.
Progress continues on the Vine St. Build Site where nine single-family homes will be built with the help of volunteer labor, donated materials, and community support.
