In honor of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, there will be a 10-day period of official mourning, in advance of the funeral on Monday September 19th. During this time, you may share your messages in the Book of Condolences, which will be available to sign between the hours of 9 am - 5 pm, Monday to Friday, at the British Consulate-General, Los Angeles:

Upon arrival, you will be directed to the Atrium area of the building, where the Book of Condolences will be housed. In addition, you may lay flowers in a specified area on an embankment outside of the building. We encourage all to visit and pay respects during the 10-day mourning period.

A Celebration of the Life of HM Queen Elizabeth II

In light of the recent passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate her remarkable life.
The format of the Best of British Brands Event will change slightly to allow the British and American communities in Southern California to come together in celebration.
Although the main focus of the evening is now Her Majesty's extraordinary life and 70 years of dedication, in true "Keep Calm and Carry On" fashion, we wish to continue to support the fine British businesses that have so kindly agreed to attend the event.
Out of respect to the Crown, we will no longer charge an entrance fee to this event, however donations are much appreciated as we initiated this event to raise funds to support the BABC OC scholarship program. For those of you that have already paid, if you require a refund please contact me directly. We thank you for your kind donations which will be accepted on the evening of the event.
So, please join us in partnership with Aston Martin Newport Beach, as we come together to celebrate the remarkable life of Queen Elizabeth II, raise a toast to King Charles III, and appreciate the fine products and services that are

BABC OC – QUESTION TIME!
1. What is your hometown and country?
That’s a tricky one as I’ve been all over – Born in Reading, quickly moved (within days) to Banbury, Oxford and then via Lincoln(teenage years), Newcastle (bachelors) and Leeds (masters) I ended up in London where I lived for over 20 years before moving to Orange County. London was probably home in the UK.
2. What year did you move to the US and why?
September 2018. Moved for work. Worked in Aviation at the time and then the fun of Covid kicked in. Out of the flames of Covid we started Azarc.
3. Where do you work and what’s your job title?
Work for a tech software ‘startup’ company called Azarc. I am the CEO (glorified virtual tea maker)
4. What’s your favourite word?
Yes, because more often than not when you hear that word it leads to positive things.
2. Favourite sound is laughter.
5. What’s your least favourite word?
Problem
6. What’s your favourite sport or hobby?
Football (the English version)
7. What profession other that your own would you like to attempt and why?
Ever since I took a career break and renovated a London town house as first DIY project (school boy error) I have always loved renovating houses.
8. If you could go back in time, knowing what you know now about living and working in OC what advice would you give YOU, arriving here on Day 1?
1. Just because they speak a form of English don’t assume it’s the same as the UK.
2. Prepare for the move and build up a credit presence before you get here… arriving as a ghost with no credit score cause a lot of the pain. IT was like moving out of your parents’ house at 16 all over again, just with a young family in tow.
