Cap Services Family Crisis Center is excited to offer an opportunity for Youth Advocates to be present at schools throughout the 2023-2024 school year. Advocates can work with staff and students to brainstorm the most effective way to get everyone involved in the conversation to promote healthy relationships and safety. These important conversations could start at a tabling event in the commons area before school or during a lunch hour with music, games, and prizes to spark conversation, a more formal presentation, or small groups to relay prevention information.

Advocates can also meet with youth 1:1 to talk about healthy relationships, coping skills, self-esteem skill building, and much more. These 1:1 meeting can be coordinated through school staff or parents/guardians.

We all have a role to play in preventing domestic and sexual violence in our community. Please contact a CAP Services advocate at 715-258-9575 or 1-800-472-3377. You can also email any questions or interest to waupacafcc@capmail.org

Marion Body Works to Host Event Celebrating the Shipment of Their 15,000th Cab

Tenured, family-owned Wisconsin company commemorating 27 years of manufacturing custom cabs for partners big and small

Marion, Wis.Marion Body Works, a leading national manufacturer of commercial truck bodies, fire & emergency apparatus, custom cabs, custom engineered vehicles, and defense bodies, is celebrating the shipment of its 15,000th cab, with that unit having been crafted for longtime customer, Spartan Motors (NASDAQ: SPAR). The event will begin at 10 a.m. (CST) on Wednesday, August 16 at 211 West Ramsdell Street in Marion, Wisconsin. All Marion employees involved in the product line as well as team members from Spartan Motors will be in attendance and available for photos and conversation.

“The shipment of our 15,000th cab means a lot to Marion, and we’re excited to celebrate the team’s hard work and commitment to driving greatness,” said Kevin Ignacio, president of Marion Body Works. “This event will be the perfect time to applaud how far we’ve come and gear up for a successful future, with our valued customer, Spartan, at our side.”

Since 1996, Marion has been building cabs for manufacturers like Spartan, making this milestone certainly one to mark—but it’s the next milestone of many. In 2014, Marion Body Works delivered its 10,000th cab to the very same customer, Spartan. This storied collaboration between a local, family-owned manufacturer and a publicly traded power player is the kind of strong alliance Marion Body Works aims to foster with customers in various industries. These resilient relationships make it possible for the company to continue to give back to the community and create jobs for talented individuals in Northeastern Wisconsin.

Over the last 100+ years, Marion Body Works has been dedicated to developing honest, high-quality solutions that are tested and trusted by companies of every size, locally and nationally. Marion’s team is honored to continue this tradition of excellence with the delivery of its 15,000th cab and looks forward to a bright future with many more successful projects and partnerships ahead.

NEWS FROM THE NUTRITION MISSION!

HELLO!

I hope you’re having a fun-filled summer and are soaking up the warm weather. As we inch closer to the school year, my team and I have been preparing for another year of serving roughly 250 students through our weekend backpack program, The Nutrition Mission. I’m reaching out to see if you and your team would be interested in hosting a food drive for our Nutrition Mission program.

Our largest need for the program is oatmeal, specifically in serving size packets. If this is of interest to you and your team, we would love for you to join us in collecting oatmeal for our program. We are hoping to collect oatmeal between now through the end of September. If interested, we can provide you with a donation bin as well as graphics and/or signage. We greatly appreciate any support and thank you for being a valued partner of ours.

We look forward to hearing from you soon!
