8th Annual Fall VegFest Presented by Unburger

Our 8th annual Fall VegFest is on Sunday, September 8, from 11am - 5pm at Riley Park in historic downtown Farmington. Everyone is invited to attend this free-admission family-friendly event, whether you are completely new to plant-based eating or have been eating this way for many years. Enjoy over 30 vendors, including restaurants, food trucks, caterers, specialty items, sustainable shopping, and nonprofits. We're also excited to add some great new presentations this year, including one by Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Chantal Singer. In addition, we will have a variety of local musicians playing a mix of original songs and popular covers, plus free massages! Visit the Fall VegFest page for details.

There's Still Time to Volunteer!

We need a few more volunteers to make this year's event a success! If you would like to help, please log into Volgistics and go to September 8 on the calendar to view current openings. Thanks to everyone who has already signed up to help!

We Need Your Help Stopping Factory Farming in Michigan

VegMichigan is part of a coalition of organizations fighting to end factory farming in Michigan. Senate Bill 275 is a dangerous bill that is bad for the environment and would also expand factory farming in the state. Register for our Zoom Call on September 9, to learn more about the issue. We are also hosting a Lobby Day on September 19 in Lansing to oppose this bill. Lastly, we need volunteers on September 8 to get postcards signed at Fall VegFest. If you can help, please email justfarmingsystem@gmail.com.
