September News & Updates

Every year, during September — National Suicide Prevention Month — the construction industry dedicates a week to raising awareness about the unique challenges workers face in construction that may lead to mental health struggles and suicide, and what can be done to prevent it. Together, we can save lives.

National Preparedness Month, observed every September, is a reminder of the importance of preparing for emergencies and disasters. This month encourages individuals, families, and communities to take proactive steps to be ready for any unexpected events. From natural disasters our region is familiar with, like hurricanes, to earthquakes and emergencies like power outages or pandemics, preparedness involves making a plan, building an emergency kit, and staying informed. By focusing on preparedness, we can help protect ourselves and our loved ones, ensuring that we are better equipped to handle whatever challenges may come our way.
