Leadership Council Highlights
Laura Hamby, Moderator

"... keep a sharp eye out for competent people-people who love God, individuals of integrity... and appoint them as leaders... If you handle the work this way, you'll have the strength to carry out whatever God commands you, and the people in their settings will flourish also."
From Exodus 18:17-23 selected  (The Message)

Michael Chittum, Executive Director, is now working out of the Oak Creek Office. As a result of that move, we have the opportunity to focus on the future of the Center for Congregational Leadership (CCL).  The task team, established last Spring, is in the early phases of designing a plan to gain input, brainstorm options, and seek God's guidance for the intentional work of the CCL. Be praying, thinking and talking with your church about how the CCL can best serve you and your church. If we handle the work this way, we'll have the strength to carry out whatever God commands, and the people in their settings will flourish also.

Board of Governors Highlights
 Rick Bauzenberger, Treasurer

The Board of Governor's (BoG) Consolidation Task Force has begun work to consolidate and simplify the 100 + Association and Foundation endowments. At the conclusion of the process it is the goal that all endowment funds will reside in the Foundation * while non-endowment funds will remain with the Association. Donor objectives will be the primary consideration for how endowments will be consolidated. Future BoG meetings will focus on: fiduciary responsibilities, endowment gift policies, donor acknowledgement, and drawdown rates. Endowments play an increasingly critical role in funding the staff, the many ministries, and member church services of the Association.

*Michael Chittum wants to remind everyone: " All the endowments will be reviewed to see which ones can be consolidated under the Foundation's oversight, but always with the goals of providing the most responsible investment of the funds in the most efficient manner in order to further the work of the NACCC."
