RALLY DAY
SUNDAY- SEPTEMBER 8 - 9:00AM
On September 8th we will celebrate Rally Day, the beginning of a new church school year! Come join us for breakfast in the Fellowship Hall at 9:00am. After breakfast, we will introduce this year’s Sunday school theme, “The Beatitudes: Blessed Are You!” Then we will introduce the fabulous teachers who will lead us through this year’s engaging curriculum. Children and youth will be dismissed to visit their classrooms and meet their classmates. Mark your calendars to join your church family for the beginning of a new church school year!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT LIVE KICKOFF
WEDNESDAY - SEPTEMBER 11 - 5:45PM
Join us for Wednesday Night Live on Wednesday, September 11, starting with dinner at 5:45pm. We’ll have a delicious meal of bratwurst, veggie hot dogs, baked bean casserole, potato chips, with a vegetarian option, as well. It’s a big help to the cooks if you can RSVP for dinner by Monday, September 9. You can RSVP using the friendship pad in worship, clicking HERE, email at admin@wbpresbyterian.org, or calling the church office at 919-851-4713. Let us know if you can bring a dessert, fresh fruit, or help with cleaning up after dinner! We also accept donations, food or money, for the Urban Ministries Food Bags on Wednesdays, as this helps feed others in our community who are facing food insecurity. Childcare is also available.
For this first WNL of the year, we’re all invited to bring food items for the Little Food Pantry on Kaplan Drive outside the church. According to NC's State Institute of Emerging Issues, the population of food insecure individuals in North Carolina was more than 1.2 million, at a rate of 11.8%. That’s about one in every eight people facing limited access to nutritionally-adequate food in our state. FIFTY PLUS
THURSDAY - SEPTEMBER 19 - 11:30AM
Our program for September will be watching the movie “Cooked: Survival by Zip Code,” which focuses on ongoing climate change impacts communities disproportionally based on where they live. We will meet at the church at 11:30am, and lunch will be Amedeo's pizza, salad, dessert, and drinks. Please mark your calendar and feel free to invite a guest. Let's enjoy the daylight in the evenings while we can! Bring your favorite lawn game and let's get outside and play! Some ideas are spikeball, croquet, ladderball, gaga ball, or a football to throw around! Alternatively, feel free to bring traditional playing cards, Uno, Apples to Apples, etc and strike up a card game!
