2021 Birthday Dreams Gala | Saturday, October 9th at 6 pm |

This year’s "hybrid" event offers both an in-person and virtual option, so everyone can attend!* Have fun, and support Birthday Dreams. |

The in-person event will be held at the beautiful Hyatt Regency Lake Washington in Renton (special discounts for rooms are available for attendees). Tickets: Gala of Dreams.

*We will be implementing measures to promote a safe in-person experience for our Gala attendees. The event will have a table limit (to keep with social distancing protocols) and our guests will be asked to follow the mask guidelines that the State has in place.
Virtual attendees will be treated to a unique livestreamed experience that can be enjoyed in the comfort of your own space, while still engaging in all of the Gala festivities. Our virtual auction system will allow you to bid on all of the same auction items as our in-person guests in live time.

This adorable kiddo turned two, and we were as excited as she was to receive these thank you pictures! Mom sent along a BIG Thank You for making her daughter's birthday magical. This priceless smile is the very reason for everything we do!

Community Support and Recognition |
|
This summer, Foresters Financial reached out to Birthday Dreams after hearing from one of their members about the good work that our organization does for homeless children in our community. Foresters Financial asked if they could do something that would have a direct and positive impact on the children we serve. Of course, we said YES! They contacted their regional members and asked them to assist. The result: 65 toys and 48 handcrafted goody bags for our birthday party supply collection. This generous gift totaled over $1,850! Pictured right, Birthday Dreams Development Director Jarod Drozdowski accepts the donation from Foresters Financial member Danica Sutton.

Recent Grant Awards
Each month Birthday Dreams receives grant awards from our terrific foundation partners. We would like to highlight the financial support from the following grant funders:

These grant awards totaling $6,500 will directly fund our Birthday-in-a-Box program. We are grateful to these foundations for their support - THANK YOU!

Volunteer Spotlight | Jude and Shera Isakson
|
Shera Isakson and her 10 year old son Jude have been volunteering with Birthday Dreams since January 2020. When Jude was very young, Shera saw Birthday Dreams represented at Renton River Days. She promised herself that when Jude was at an age where he could volunteer and learn the blessing of serving others, she would look up Birthday Dreams. Birthday Dreams is a good fit for Shera and Jude because the mission really resonates with them.
Jude and Shera come in every week to wrap gifts. They do a beautiful job. We have come to rely on them!
Shera loves the mission of helping children and thought it would be a relatable mission for Jude. Jude loves his birthday and really likes being able to be a part of making birthday dreams come true for others.

Awesome Cakes Made and Delivered with Love |

This birthday girl's wish for a unicorn party was brought to life by cake baker Jessica Poisel. Jessica blew us away with her amazing creation.

When this sweet 8 year old requested cupcakes for her princess party, Dawn Shaikh stepped up to grant her wish! Jim Waugh delivered crown-adorned cupcakes along with in-theme party supplies and gifts.

It's a lego party for this boy turning 6 and cake baker Jo Ann Elrod was sure to include his favorite colors (blue, black and red) when creating this fantastic cake. Our thanks to delivery driver Jim Waugh.
