It's hard to believe that Summer is almost over, and that my baby daughter is going on her second year in college.

I've been working extra hours, as I get ready for my upcoming solo, and creating a whole new body of work for it. Can't hardly wait to see it all up! The opening is on Monday, September 29th, hope you can come! Detailed info below.

Also excited to be exhibiting for the first time in the state of New Hampshire, at Transformation with New England Wax. The juror, Artscope Editor Kaveh Mojtabai, selected my Exodus series and one of my sculptures to be included in this show. On October 11th I'll be one of the panelist at a panel discussion during the exhibition.

In addition, my series, Family tree and my painting For-Closure were both accepted into Latin Views, the 7th and final biennial by LNVA. Organization that promotes visual arts created by contemporary Latin artists whose roots lie in countries where the Romance Languages are spoken.

On another note, just this past week, I was happily surprised when I opened the folded September issue of The Arts Paper, to find my mixed media collage, Fading Memories, right in the middle of the page, large, & centered (back cover). If you want to take a look at it, follow this LINK. This piece is part of Rendezvous, currently on display at the Summer McKnight Crosby Gallery at the Arts Council of Greater New Haven through Sept 19th. Info below.

Updating... I had a wonderful teaching experience at the Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill, during pre 8th International Encaustic Conference. And my curated exhibition, INNER JOURNEYS, at the Julie Heller Gallery in Provincetown, MA, this past June was a great success. The opening was very well attended, and we even had a sale!

Always looking for career advancement opportunities through training and education, I attended the 8th International Encaustic Conference, and took advantage of a couple of the workshops offered at the Truro Center for the Arts while there. Additionally, I recently took several workshops with artist/instructor Kim Bernard during her Maine Coast Encaustic Retreat. One can never stop learning!

During the Fall, I'll continue teaching two workshops at the Arts Center Killingworth, and a special one at Creative Arts Workshop in New Haven.

Please, check out the exhibitions I list below, and try to stop by and say hi if you get a chance. Would love to see there!

Wishing you a happy end of the summer, looking forward to the change of leaves as Fall starts to make its debut! Hoping for a mild winter, and to see you aROUND,

CORINA.-
