We have created more fun activities BEYOND the curriculum lessons to enjoy during the Summer and Fall and Winter months. See two samples below. Then . . .
Children can peer with one eye through the Bible window and the Book of Mormon with the other eye to read the scriptures. Also, see in this page the Jesus mini-portrait (shown right) to show children Jesus living in Jerusalem (Bible) and in ancient America (Book of Mormon).
With this children can think about how Jesus loves us, giving us the sacrament of bread and water that He gave His Apostles in both Jerusalem (Bible times) and in ancient America (Book of Mormon times). See Scripture Specs (left) to illustrate the two times Jesus came to us and gave us the sacrament and more.
Here children can learn how Jesus came to bless the Nephite children and teach them how to be happy. This book is another testament to Jesus Christ. After He was resurrected He went to visit the people in America*. These stories are about ancient prophets who also told about Jesus and traveling to the Promised land.
Using the cards children can be witnesses just like these six stories of Nephites who told of Jesus coming to ancient America after His resurrection. These are Book of Mormon Heroes: Nephi, Abinadi, Alma, Ammon, Captain Moroni, and the three Nephites. Tell children that all these men testified of Jesus.
ACTIVITY DAY ACTIVITIES just got easier with these activity plans. As every detail is mapped out for you and simple enough you can add your special twist. If children don't attend you can drop off the goal plans and parents can coach them along.
