Spectrum Autism Support Group Has Expanded Services in Gwinnett County

Spectrum Autism Support Group, a local nonprofit, provides support, education, and resources to over 2,000 individuals and families impacted by autism in Gwinnett County and the surrounding Metro Atlanta area. Founded over 25 years ago by Claire Dees, who now serves as Executive Director, Spectrum continues to improve the lives of those with autism.

With autism affecting 1 in 36 individuals, the opening of Spectrum Autism Support Center in downtown Duluth last year marked a pivotal moment. Located at 2997 Main Street, Duluth, GA 30096, this new centrally located facility expands Spectrum’s reach and introduces new initiatives, including increased respite opportunities for caregivers and expanded social opportunities for teens and adults. The expansion of services at the Spectrum Autism Support Center aims to address the diverse needs of the community and to fill in the gaps that exist in services and supports.

"This facility represents our commitment to making a difference in the lives of those impacted by autism. With the increasing prevalence of autism, we must expand our efforts and provide the necessary resources to support individuals and families while creating connections and sharing hope" said Claire Dees, the founder and Executive Director of Spectrum Autism Support Group.

Every-BODY needs Chiropractic care

Spine Chiropractic & Wellness

Chiropractic care offers a range of potential benefits, primarily focusing on the musculoskeletal system and overall wellness. Chiropractic care can be used for pain management by correcting misalignments (subluxations) in the spine; chiropractors aim to reduce nerve irritation and inflammation, thereby decreasing pain. It improves joint function and mobility. This can be particularly beneficial for individuals suffering from conditions like arthritis or repetitive strain injuries. It enhances healing and recovery proper alignment of the spine facilitates better communication between the brain and the body, promoting faster recovery from injuries. Chiropractic care may complement traditional medical treatments for sports injuries or accidents.

If you suffer from headaches, including tension and migraines, are associated with muscle tension and spinal misalignment.  Chiropractic adjustments release muscle tension and can help reduce the frequency and intensity of such headaches.  Most people have poor posture which can contribute to musculoskeletal pain and even affect organ function.  Chiropractic adjustments, combined with proper ergonomics, can help improve posture and prevent future issues.

Chiropractors often emphasize overall wellness, incorporating lifestyle advice, nutritional counseling, and exercise recommendations into their treatment plans. This holistic approach addresses not only symptoms but also underlying causes of health issues.

Pain relief and reduced muscle tension from chiropractic adjustments can contribute to better sleep quality for some individuals. Chiropractors typically offer personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs and health goals. This individualized approach can lead to more effective and satisfying outcomes. If you are pregnant and need help easing the aches and pains that come along with it, chiropractic adjustments can help alleviate many musculoskeletal symptoms.

At Spine Chiropractic & Wellness, we offer accessible and affordable chiropractic care.  We see many patients ranging from babies, pregnant moms, athletes, & geriatrics.  We offer many high-quality supplement brands such as thorne, premier labs, pure encapsulations, design for health & more at a 20% discount on all orders.  We want to ensure everyone is taking quality supplements as it’s not regulated by the FDA.  We offer a weight loss program that is only 6 weeks long and you could lose 20-35 pounds.  This is all-natural, meaning it is done by eating food, no injections, no shakes, and no pre-packaged foods.  Most people experience foot pain in their life and to mitigate this we offer arch supports to ensure your foot is supported throughout the day, so you can prevent plantar fasciitis and many other foot-related issues.  We offer functional medicine and focus on gut health. Gut health is important to a healthy body.  The gut is where your food is processed into energy and if this does not function properly, you will feel more fatigued and leads to other preventable issues.
