Chair Yoga

Fridays at 11:00a


Chair Yoga class consists of Yoga exercises using the support of a chair. The back of the body, the hips, and hamstrings are able to relax while deeply breathing, moving in flow or practicing traditional Yoga Asanas.

Jaime attended her first yoga class in 2003. At the time, she was simply looking for some sort of exercise. What she ended up finding was a deeper connection to herself. Through the asanas and vinyasa flow, she experienced a meditation in motion, clearing space to connect within herself. She felt at home on her mat and has been practicing consistently ever since.  

Over the years, she has had many amazing teachers and through her many teachers has found what resonates most for herself, Bhakti. Bhakti Yoga is a path of love, devotion, service, truth and gratitude. These principles have guided and inspired her through yoga which she strives to practice both on and off the mat. Jaime hopes to share what she has found through this practice. Her intention for teaching is to create a supportive space to explore and connect, where one is invited to find balance, joy, healing and connection with mind, body and heart.  

Jaime is currently and has consistently taught weekly yoga and meditation classes at Yoga Sanctuary along with teaching chair yoga to kids, adolescents and adults at a treatment center in Las Vegas.

Yogi Of The Month:
We are excited to begin this new program at Yoga Sanctuary. We are fortunate to have such an amazing community of yogis to choose from. We believe that this will give our community an opportunity to learn a little more about each other along the way.

Christy Bojda

Congratulations to Christy Bojda on September Yogi of the Month. Christy found Yoga Sanctuary in January of 2020 when she was simply looking for a yoga class to attend on Sunday afternoons. Once the studio reopened after the shutdown, she started attending as many classes as possible and quickly fell in love with the studio. She has always done some sort of physical workout, but was ready for a change.


Christy loves the way yoga makes her body and mind feel. It brings her a sense of clarity, and she thinks of it as a "meditation in motion". Christy has also noticed an improvement in strength, flexibility, and balance. She is motivated to continue her yoga practice year after year because of the positive physical, mental, and spiritual benefits.


Christy loves the community feel of Yoga Sanctuary, from the moment she walks in, throughout class, and even as she leaves. Christy states, "It feels like home, and the teachers, staff, and fellow students truly care about you." There are so many amazing classes and instructors at Yoga Sanctuary, that anyone can find something they will enjoy. One of her favorite classes that she rarely misses is Angie Wright's "Yogalates" on Tuesday mornings at 7:30 am."

Chakra Meditation with Healing Reiki Energy

In this relaxing session, you will tune into and embrace the energy of Reiki. Starting with aromatherapy oils that are hand picked and related to your Chakra energy, giving you the ability to breathe easier and relax more deeply.

Next, you will be led through gentle yoga movements that will calm and clear your mind.

Finally, resting in a restorative posture using blocks and bolsters while you are guided through a tranquil Chakra meditation infused with sound bowls while receiving healing energy through Reiki.

You will leave feeling refreshed, inspired and peaceful.

Conscious Breathing

Breathwork is a means of inducing an altered state of consciousness

through full and connected breathing. An energy charge is created in the body, and as the energy disperses, it serves to release, or to cleanse blockages, both physical and emotional.

Kirtan Collective Las Vegas

Kirtan is a form of Bhakti yoga… yoga of love & Devotion. Call and response chanting where everyone can sing and participate & is part of the band. Kirtan uses Sanskrit Mantras along with music to assist in the conscious flow of energy through the body to create a peaceful and relaxed state of being. The healing and transformational energies of these ancient chants can help to reconnect us to our true nature and love that lies within us all. Kirtan is designed to lead us toward a meditative state of oneness and wholeness.

Yoga Sanctuary's Late Arrival Policy

Late entry to any yoga class is disruptive to your instructor and other students. Therefore, any student who arrives MORE THAN 5 MINUTES LATE, will not be permitted to enter class.
