What a night! Thank You x
Our Rioja dinner with Rafa Perez from Bodegas Vallemayor was on Thursday, with the best part of 100 guests enjoying sensational wine, paired food and superb company. A very proud night for us to showcase all of this with our great friend Rafa Perez and his nephew, Pablo, from Bodegas Vallemayor. Their wine is out of this world. It was like a giant, fancy dinner party where we didn't have to wash the dishes! Thank you so much to everyone who attended.
Next up is our sherry tasting on 23rd November, our Christmas quiz on 1st December and our very special fine and rare wine tasting on 6th December. Check out the full details further on in the newsletter.

Lunya and Lunyalita are so special for a number of reasons. The food and drink of course, but our guests who come in make them both very special places. And last, but certainly not least, our teams of servers, chefs, deli staff, our managers, warehouse team, all make such a huge contribution to what the business is. Without them, we would not be what we are today.
When we created Lunya, we always wanted to be more than 'just' a restaurant. Our deli makes us very unique, our online business does, too. We are particularly proud of what we have been able to do to support local people and charities including our free meals for carers during the pandemic, our partnership with My Time carers project and Arrowe Park, providing free dining experiences to carers and staff as well as the near £100,000 we have raised for charities over the last two years - and a lot more going further back than that. We have carved our jobs to provide opportunities for people with learning disabilities (a cause very close to our hearts) as well as supporting as many community initiatives as we can. That's what you get with a local, independent business. We're not perfect by any means (though it doesn't stop us trying to be!). Sunday roasts now at Lunya
Our great friends at Moritz brewery in Barcelona have shared with us their recipe of a whole marinated chicken roasted in the oven over a Moritz beer can. This has been taking Barcelona by storm over the last 10 years at their superb Fabrica Moritz restaurant and bar.
Every Sunday in Hanover Street (pre-booking required), we now will be serving it whole at the table, accompanied by your choice of tapas. It can be for two to share (half a chicken each), or up to eight (portioned up into small tapas sized portions). You just choose what accompaniments you want from our extensive tapas menu. We suggest patatas bravas, broccoli with Romesco sauce and sauteed mushrooms and asparagus. A real Catalan meat and two veg! Book online here

Sherry Tasting, 23rd November
A perfect night for sherry lovers or those who want to discover what all the fuss is about! One of our most popular tastings, where we will try a variety of sherries from across the range: bone dry, nutty and caramelly sweet, with a cocktail thrown in for good measure. All matched with an exquisite range of tapas and entertained by our resident Flamenco guitarist, Alex McKenzie. It will take you right to the bodegas in Jerez, plus the sensational view over the docks. A great fun night with plenty to eat and drink!

Our quizzes are one of the most popular events we do. Providing the best fun you can have in Liverpool on a Friday night. On Friday 1st December, at Lunyalita, we have our next quiz, where most of the questions are Christmas themed and the music round is 10 Christmas hits from the last 40 years played flamenco style by our resident guitarist. Christmas Canapes
For the last 4 years, our chefs have been making an exquisite range of canapes for Christmas and New Year. all the same standard as our wonderful restaurant food and available for nationwide delivery for you to reheat or finish off at home. Very simple! You may have seen the glitzy adds for M&S and Waitrose canapes. We don't have the advertising budget, but our canapes are a lot better. Brand new Catalan Papier Mache artwork in
Ever since we opened in 2010, we have been famous for our unique Catalan papier mache artwork adorning our restaurant. Produced by Macarena and Jordi of Dadalite. They are now based in Breda, Catalunya and produce a range of absolutely unique papier mache artwork, influenced by Miro, Dali and Gaudi. They are quite simply outstanding. we have them all listed online as well as displayed in the restaurants and deli. They make the perfect treat or present. Each piece is completely unique - a one-off. Have a look through to see what we have - there's nothing quite like them.
