Winter Newsletter 2021
Happy Valentine's Day from Your Friends at Horizons!
What makes our hearts so happy this Valentine's Day is knowing that we WILL have an in-person program this year. We've started re-enrolling students like Amarii, above, who will return for her sixth summer with Horizons!
The Latest News for our Friends & Supporters
Thank you to the wonderful local foundations who support our mission year after year!
We are so grateful to The Royer Family Foundation, The Thomas A. and Georgina T. Russo Foundation, The Willis and Elsie Shenk Foundation, and The Steinman Foundation for their generous and ongoing support of Horizons!

Do you know of another foundation in the Lancaster area who shares Horizons' mission? Please reach out to Rebecca Fowler at fowlerr@lancastercountryday.org.
Welcome, Ms. Gordon + We're Hiring!

The public health crisis has taught us that children's mental health and well-being is more important, and more vulnerable, than ever. We're excited to add our first-ever counselor to the Horizons at LCDS staff! Angela Gordon, pictured, will join us to work with our students, families and teachers.

We're also looking for an outstanding, creative, and nurturing sixth grade teacher for our very first cohort of students, who is returning for a seventh summer! If you or someone you know is interested, please contact Meg Reed ASAP at reedm@lancastercountrday.org.
Horizon Families Benefit from the Lancaster Cares Covid-19 Response Fund
Thanks to the Lancaster Cares Covid-19 Response Fund, Horizons volunteers will make a special mid-March "Horizons at Home" delivery in to our families, including lots of brand new books, school supplies, healthy snacks, and grocery gift cards.
