SUPPORT OUR CAMPERSHIP APPEAL!

Our Campership Appeal is underway! As summer nears, excitement is in the air, and you can help spread this joy by supporting P2P's Campership Program. This effort provides scholarships to local elementary school children, allowing them to attend day camps filled with sports, nature exploration, arts, and more, nurturing vital skills like teamwork and empathy. Additionally, it gives parents peace of mind, knowing their children are safe and engaged in enriching activities.

For just $700, you can sponsor a child for an entire summer of growth and opportunity. Donate now using the link below to make this the "Best Summer Ever" for children in our community.

Thank you for your generosity and support!

CLIENT PROFILE

WELCOMING NEW CLIENTS TO P2P

In December 2023, two sisters and a young mother fled gang violence in Haiti and arrived in Stamford under the Humanitarian Parole Program. Despite the challenging process, they hope to reunite with more family members here.

Unfortunately, the young mother left behind her 5-year-old son in Haiti, who misses her deeply. Their Facetime calls are bittersweet, with her son often tearfully telling her how much he wishes they could be together.

The sisters previously ran businesses in Haiti, and the young mother, a cosmetologist, aims to find similar work in the U.S.

As new P2P clients, they receive food, clothing, and ESL course support to help them integrate and find employment. Thanks to our donors and supporters, we can make a significant difference in the lives of this family and others facing similar struggles.

"STAMP OUT HUNGER" 2024

40,000 LBS OF FOOD COLLECTED

This year's Stamp Out Hunger food drive, sponsored by Cuisinart and Conair, was a major success, with letter carriers collecting over 40,000 pounds of food for P2P's food pantries. The effort was supported by more than 200 volunteers on the day, plus additional help throughout the week sorting donations. This strong volunteer effort was key to the drive's success, reflecting the community's dedication to combating food insecurity and aiding local families. Thanks to everyone who donated and volunteered!

For every $1 donated, P2P can purchase $5 worth of food. If you missed Stamp Out Hunger and would like to make a virtual food donation, click here.

On April 30th, we celebrated our volunteers with an appreciation luncheon at The Landing in Stamford, honoring their dedication and significant contributions. This event was more than a luncheon—it was a celebration of the volunteerism that drives our mission.

Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, and their commitment inspires us daily. Thank you to everyone who joined us at The Landing, and to all our volunteers who were there in spirit. Here’s to making a positive impact together!

P2P is thrilled to announce a new partnership with The Palace Theatre in Stamford to support our local community. Throughout May, attendees of The Palace Theatre are encouraged to bring food donations, which will directly benefit P2P's three food pantries.
